I write pony words. Millions of them. Some people actually think they might be worth reading. I am very thankful for that. Also, I have a Patreon now?

    So I asked Gemini AI...

To summarize the story TD the Alicorn Princess. The result I got was... interesting.

    1. Fimfiction story: This story involves Peter Westmoore, a responsible college student, who is transported to the magical land of Equis and transformed into an alicorn princess named TD. He faces challenges adapting to his new life and ruling his nation.

    So...

As many of you well know, I'm a father of three. A four-year-old, a two-year-old, and a one-year-old. It's pretty great. Can be difficult, but overall a pretty big blessing. How my wife takes care of three kids five days a week is beyond me, as I have a hard time taking care of them two days a week when my wife goes off to work.

    So yeah...

    Editing help

Yes, I'm calling out for editors again. I want to submit a story to the Cozy Glow contest, and I want to make sure that the story I just wrote for it is good, or "wow, that's a jumbled mess of ideas, far too mean, and the ending is terrible."

Let me know if you'd like to help. Any extra eyes would be highly appreciated.

    I totally forgot

To mark this as a "sequel" to the original story. So, if you're in the mood for more TD/Comet...

October 1-2. · 1:30am Oct 6th, 2017

It's the moooosssttt wonderful tiiimmeeeee of the year! There'll be pumpkins a-glowing and hearts will be blowing when monsters are near! It's the mossttt wonderful tiiiiiime of the yeeeearrr!

I love October. As a Christian I should probably like December better what with Christmas and stuff, but gosh darn it, this is the month I need to indulge in my darker side! It's just so much fun. And I, like any Halloween lover, LOVE horror movies. Half of my top ten favorite movies are horror. The Silence of the Lambs, The Shining, The Night of the Hunter, The Wicker Man (1973) and Scream. A ton of my honorable mentions are, too. With that in mind, I'm going to be doing mini reviews for you guys of horror movies I watch. Ideally one a day. I know it's the fifth, but... who cares. I can catch up.

So without further ado...

October 1st: Clown.

The backstory to this movie is actually fairly neat. It started as a fake trailer...

and as you can see, it said "from Eli Roth." Now, Eli Roth had nothing to do with that fake trailer, but he saw it and loved it so much that he actually got the movie made. And so we have Clown.

To quote wikipedia quoting Eli Roth:

In November 2010, Jon Watts and Christopher D. Ford uploaded a fake trailer to YouTube that announced Eli Roth would produce the film; Roth was not involved at the time. Roth spoke about the film, saying: "I loved how ballsy they were, issuing a trailer that said, 'From the Master of Horror, Eli Roth.' Some people thought I'd made the movie, or that it was another fake Grindhouse trailer... I really felt these guys deserved a shot

So that's actually pretty cool. Now how is the film itself? It's actually fairly fun. Not a perfect film, but one my wife, brother-in-law and I actually did enjoy. The effects of the evil clown weren't too bad for what it was, and the story was kind of neat, too. Anything groundbreaking? No, not really. I don't think it was trying to be. It has a 48% on Rotten Tomatoes, and I think that's a bit low. I'd give it a 70%. Not great, but a fun way to spend 90 minutes. Check it out for yourself on Netflix.

October 2nd: Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse

This one was, ah... not so good. My brother-in-law kept wondering if he should turn it off, but then a little bit would come along and we'd keep watching. I'm not even sure if I'd call it a dumb way to spend 90 minutes. There were a ton of cliches that weren't even done in a cute way, and I hated one of the protagonists, Augie. My brother-in-law put it best when he said he was a stereotype, not an archetype.

As I'm sure you can guess, it's a zombie apocalypse movie. Not one particularly creative or interesting. It borrowed from much better zombie movies repeatedly. Heck, one of their zombies was the Jockey from Left 4 Dead 2. Bland, stereotypical characters. Bland, stereotypical story, but gosh darn it, every once it a while there'd be a moment that just had us rolling. A joke would be set up and then pay off in a great way, followed by five really stupid ones. The zombie cats. Awesome.

It has a 45% on Rotten Tomatoes, and I'd call that a bit high. I'd give it a 30%, and that's being a touch generous. Not one I'd recommend.

So yeah, I have a little catching up to do. And I don't think I'll count the MLP movie I'm going to see in a few hours as a horror film.

Unless it is just that bad.

Traditional cute pony pic.

Yay! I love Halloween

Halloween isn't my fav time, but I definitely enjoy it. Mostly because it starts to cool down and that means the real holidays are coming. :pinkiecrazy:

Also, Cute pony pic is a lie, that movie freaked me out when I was younger.

Tis the season: It's the Most Fattening Time of the Year

As a Christian I should probably like December better what with Christmas and stuff

Don't forget Easter, that's kinda important, what with the whole death and resurrection to pay for our sins and conquer death and the grave and all that...
I guess my yard would be all set for the arachnophobs considering spiders are EVERYWHERE! Can't go outside at night without walking into at least one or two big webs. Good thing I'm not afraid of spiders.

After going a week without much processed sugar, half a donut made me feel sick. I don't think I'll be having all that candy.

I've been celebrating by going back to play Resident Evil Remastered. Just six achievements left and I can start on Zero.

I am literally incapable of playing/watching scary stuff by myself. I just wuss out. This means I have a pile of unfinished horror games in my steam library, chief among them being Alien: Isolation. It's such a good game I keep wanting to play it, but ever since I tried it in VR I haven't been able to bring myself to return to it.

Are you gonna see the MLP movie?

I did last night.

What did ya think? I loved it!

Same here. Tempest's toadie could have been cut out of the movie and the quality would have certainly improved. Every time she said something threatening and cool, he turned around and ruined the tone by saying something really stupid. At least he didn't ruin her awesome villain song.

Yeah. I understand why he was there (gotta keep them kiddos entertained) but i could have done without him..

Animation was fuckin' fantastic, though.

I love spooky movies, but I'm somewhat immune to them because my first attempt at watching something spooky was Cabin in the Woods, which is more a parody than actually horror. And now I can't help but notice pointless nonsense or when people are being really really dumb for no good reason. Or maybe I'm just bonkers, because I'm a coward in real life (except when it comes to roller coasters) but my reaction to spooky movies/games is enthusiasm.

Haven't seen it in a while, but I'm a fan of the movie Oculus - largely because the protagonist spends time setting up several logical and reasonable precautions before investigating the hypothetically-evil mirror.
