    Where I've Been

    Wow... it's been a while.

So... yeah. Where have I been? I've been at home. And I didn't realize it until this weekend, but I've been pretty unhappy since this whole mess with the pandemic began.

My Little Pony: A New Generation

Well, the last month has been a nightmare of overtime and fixing up my house, but today I managed to see the premiere of G5.

    Look Before Your Sleep

Well, here we are. Another inevitable episode about these different ponies who had little in common now having to put up with each other after having a mutual friend in Twilight. I can picture this already having happened between Rarity and Rainbow Dash, having learned to live with each other after having a mutual friend in Fluttershy.

    Where I've Been

Yeah... I'll bet you're wondering about my absence lately. I swear I didn't mean to take one.

Until the pandemic actually ends (and I mean ends, not just when everything opens back up) I'm going to be working overtime. I'm hoping it's coming to an end, but there is still mandatory hours for June.

I have a lot in the pipes, and I will still rereview the series. Just... please be patient.

The Movie Prequel Issue #4 rambles! · 6:36pm Sep 30th, 2017

And we're at the end.

I'm a little grateful Tempest is working for the Storm King and not a separate threat. There already looks to be a lot going on.

The crashed airship... that does not bode well.

And the gem ends up destroyed? I was expecting that to be important to the movie. Eh...

Chummer's footprints could be seen leading away from the crash. He's still out there...

Compared to "The Stormy Road to Canterlot", this doesn't do such a good job with Tempest's backstory. And it was a little rotten of her to use Rambler like that, after he helped her.

The Storm King probably decided the Malachite wasn't worth the trouble anymore.

:ajsleepy: Disappointed with Tempest's motivation, and I hadn't had the best opinion of her to begin with, based on the trailers. She's willing to sell her entire country for just having her horn fixed. You know, something that she could probably accomplish by simply asking for help, from Twilight and stuff. Wow. Gonna bet that the movie's gonna end with her getting her horn restored and getting reformed (unlike Storm King at least, don't see any reason for him to be redeemed, can't wait for him to get his ass kicked), hopefully she won't end up becoming Sunset Shimmer 3.0 :/

But since she betrayed Equestria, she can just as easily betray the crew? So there is an unpredictable character with the enemy, which is good for the plot. She could make her own decisions to help the invaders, hinder them, or follow her own goals any time.
I expect that be similar to G1 movies, meaning that there will be a lot of story twists.

For all we know, a broken horn can't be repaired by any method known to Equestria. And Tempest may have sought out other methods, only to find herself wanting.
