I'm nearly finished with the last chapter of How Rarity fell in love with a Flying Purple Hippo. I've got like one more scene left to write, and I'll probably be able to finish it off tomorrow. However, I likely still won't be writing any more fanfic for a while, this time for a completely different reason. See, I still can't seem to find a job, despite coming tantalizingly close a few times. I may end up going to graduate school instead if nothing sticks in another few months.
Because of this, I am still living in my parent's house. This means I end up interacting with my mother on a regular basis, and she thinks I'm 'wasting my potential' writing for you guys. She has suggested that a more productive use of my time would be going back to original fiction (despite that my last two novels were literally money sinks that weren't marketed at all). Since trying to argue against her is a one-way path to unending pain and suffering, I have elected to cave to her demands and try writing a screenplay.
Yes, you heard right, a screenplay. I had a pretty good idea a while back that could easily work in that format, and I figure it'll be an interesting writing exercise. Essentially, any given screenplay tells half of the story, using only dialogue and minimal descriptions of characters and settings. Plus, all I'd have to do to make money off it is sell the rights to one person. Assuming I can actually find a buyer.
So, yeah, stay thirsty, my friends that's all I have to say on the matter for now. And now, I'm off to draft Ixalan. Bye!
