"The Master Plan": Fallout: Equestria - The Light Within · 1:51am Sep 27th, 2017
I just wanted to make a quick blog post for anyone following The Light Within and not Camaraderie is Sorcery. If you've already read my previous blog post, "The Master Plan": Camaraderie is Sorcery, you can safely skip to the third paragraph, as the next one just contains repeat information.
To help facilitate getting chapters written more frequently, I am changing up my publication style. Instead of alternating between writing single chapters of Camaraderie is Sorcery and The Light Within, I will be writing sets of each story before switching over so that more time is spent writing and less time is spent on turnaround. These sets will likely be around 5-7 chapters long depending on what's going on in the story at the time. So far, this plan has worked out pretty well. I've been able to write about a chapter a week since I began doing this, which is much better than averaging one a month like before. So, the end result of this that you can expect to see is that there may be more time between new sets of chapters, but when chapters are released it will be several in a row with less time in between.
Given this new cycle, you may wonder what the holdup has been in getting this latest chapter out. The answer is that, no matter how fast I can write new chapters, my editor can only get through them so fast, and recent issues have kept her from editing as much as she'd like. This may continue to be the case, or in time she might once again have more leisure time to edit. The likely way things will play out is that the editing will be completed on multiple chapters with a short gap in between, and the chapters will all be published together, which will not be too different from how I expected publication with this new style to work anyway. I am committed to completing these stories, and new chapters will be released, it just may take some time in between. If you're ever curious what chapters are in progress, and what chapters are just waiting to be edited, you can check out the module on my user page. I try to keep it as up to date as possible, so it's usually correct.
