Headcanon discussion and concept building: The Multiverse theory · 6:34am Sep 25th, 2017

Ever wondered why everything ends in Equestria? Think about it.

Megatron opens an experimental Space Bridge? It goes to Equestria.

The Engineer builds a Level-4 Teleporter? It leads to Equestria.

The Portal Gun gets damaged? Chell, GLaDOS and Wheatley end up in Equestria.

The Emotional Spectrum is being destroyed? Blackest Night Equestria.

Rorschach is annihilated. Atom. By. Atom? He wakes up fine in Equestria.

You cosplay in a convention? BAM, Motherf[beep]er! Welcome to f[beep]ng Equestria.

There’s a reason for that. Stop me if you have heard this one. There’s a multiverse out there. Pretty standard so far, right? Well, here’s the kicker: There’s a finite number of realities that one can access from a singular one.

For instance, let’s say you live in Earth-Alpha, which is connected to all earth’s Beta. This means both realities have access to each other. However, let’s say that Earth-Beta has access to Earth-Gama. This doesn’t mean that Earth-Alpha has access to that universe too. Therefore, in order to go from Earth-Alpha to Earth-Gahma, one would have to cross Earth-Beta first.

There’s no pattern over how are each universe connected, or at least not one that can be discerned so far. This means that some universes have barely a connection or two, like Earth-Watchmen, while others are heavy convergence points, like Earth-Potter.

However, there are two particular universes. Not only they act as mayor convergence points, but when overlaid one with another, they both become the Multiversalis, the omniversal point of access to any and every reality, even through time. These two universes are, of course, Equestria and Human-Equestria.

Equestria is the hub of the Great Wheel. Just don't tell the Lady, though.

So, the omniverse is a chaos bound strange-attractor, and Equestria is at one of the only points that every particle of a multiverse in the chaos formula will travel by along its path through eternity, and just as chaos causality is independant of chaos formula, the connection is always present at all times because of that one absolute instant the points are shared.

My preferred explanation of this phenomenon is: Equestria is at the end of a cosmic bar magnet, where south is chaos and north is harmony, the body of the magnet is order, and all universes are as charged particles whirling about the magnetic field lines, while all planes are as charged particles dashing through the field lines with too much energy to be bound along the tracks.

Actually, thats the wrong theory, i just made that up because i forgot that i forgot the actual theory because im half asleep, but now i reread it, it still makes sense. Will file this away for later.

I always just assumed the writer was lazy and a need a quickly contrived means for a cross over.
Tho the convention of the walls being thin between realities is horrifying if you consider the doom worlds or Lovecraftian horrors that might be a tear in causality away!

I'd like to see it more of a chance thing. Equestria doesn't have any particular attraction for interdimensional travel, but because it's so damn easy to access, any "shot in the dark" travel will most likely end there.

Yeah. Imagine if Darkseid or the God-Emperor of Mankind gained access to Equestria. Or Ryuk and his Death Note, or a Black Lantern Ring.
