I did a stupid thing yesterday and I'm still here so it really put things in perspective. So here we go.
I just can't write here anymore. My style of writing seems to shift between easily accessible fluff pieces and things with weird things or high grade depression.
It's untenable here.
I used to like writing the cute fluff pieces. Now its not fun and its all the same thing nowadays. Follow a trend, you'll get popular, and maybe people will comment. The weird dark stuff, its impossible to get people to follow. And I'm not doing porn, that's just distasteful to me. So I'm here with no real drive to write what makes it big here.
And the last thing that kept me here went away- mostly because I'm a mess but yeah. Nothing really here now.
I might pop in here once in a while but this is literally all I can get out of the fandom- haven't seen the show in literal years now. Going to watch the movie of course but I'm just done.
Also trying to increase my writing output to attract readers? That really didn't work and it made me feel less okay with the story.
I don't look back on my time here as a waste- sure there might be a day or two I'd rather take back, but yeah. Good time and I can write okay. Far better than five years ago.

I've waited a year for this site to go genfiction and I can't. I have too many ideas that aren't related to pony and since this is a site catering to that demographic- I can't keep writing here.
To all those who said nice things and followed my stuff these last fivish or so years, thank you.

I remember you right from when the two of us were starting out. I was Flutterdash7 and while I wrote cute Flutterdash that was seriously cute, you wrote a different sort of cute Flutterdash and I certainly enjoyed the Flutterdash foals you came up with.
I liked your work because your Flutterdash was a bit different and some of your stories I thought were really cool and fun. Brand new Powers is one of the stories I still remember to this day (seriously). Corruption and Chaos confirmed to me that you were a great one to follow and that also has been carried with me as a cool story by one of my good friends on here.
Twilight Sparkle; Appleloosan Sheriff I am sad never seemed to get finished, but I defiantly enjoyed that too while it lasted. You and both seemed to fade out from the fan base quite a bit at about the same time.
While I have somewhat returned, I can understand you leaving. Your stories have gone far and have certainly changed over these years. While I cant say I read all of them anymore, ones such as It's a Bakery, Not a Fakery are still a good read and I can see that you have come far as an author.
What was your fanfiction.net username? I cant remember if I followed you or not and if I haven't, I really should as I would like to see what you go to next. I'm also on DeviantArt if you wish to look me up on there too and I have steam as I play some games in Mac.

I am still probably going to write pony stuff.
Might reuse the characters I created in the beginning. I liked what I was doing there even if the first few stories I made are really basic. I liked writing those characters and I always wanted to use them somewhere else.
But I don't want to do that here. Fanfiction net let's me write pretty much whatever I want without needing to be a pony project and I have multiple projects that I want to write that definitely don't have ponies in them.
And since I have not watched the show since season four pretty much besides a few random episodes I can't say I watch the show at all.
