Sharing a Smile · 2:27am Sep 13th, 2017
So this is a thing, apparently! Crystal Wishes got it in her head that folks need to smile more. Seems legit.
Here's what I'd like everyone to do: write a blog post about someone (or someones!) who you don't normally interact with that you admire, look up to, or just simply want to praise in some way. Then tag it with Share a Smile, as well as the names of the user(s) you wrote about. If we're lucky—if enough of y'all participate—that person may just have the happy surprise of finding your post. If you could also include instructions at the bottom of your post for others who see it to do the same, that would be super!
I think I might be able to do that. Except I'm putting the instruction on the top. Because I'm a rebel and stuff.
To Everyone: Listen folks, I know I’ve talked Ebon up a lot. You’re probably tired of hearing of it. Well, if you are, then you don’t get just how much this guy puts up with on a daily basis from me. About 2/3rds of the time, I’m a raving lunatic in my Editor’s Workshop. Ebon doesn’t only deal with it, but he handles it. With far more grace and humility than I could ever hope to have.
To Ebon: Look, I don’t think I’ll ever know how much you sacrifice to help me in these stories. I put incredible demands on you and you always do your best to come through for me. Yeah, we both drive each other up the wall occasionally, but I can say without a single doubt in my head that I wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am as a writer if it weren’t for you.
I know you’ll likely never see this, but it needs to be said. You’re one of the reasons I’m here. While Kkat may have introduced me to MLP FanFiction with Fallout: Equestria, you’re the one who introduced me to the sheer depths and wonder possible in this fandom with epics like Hard Reset and A Taste of the Good Life. You helped open my eyes to how talented and gifted this epic website is and continues to be. Your powerful stories remain on my Legends folder for a reason: because they’re legendary. They are simply astounding and an inspiration to any author, be it in fanfiction or otherwise.
Honestly, I’ll be really freaking ticked off if you’re not already published under your real name and raking in royalties by the truckload by now. Seriously. You’re fantastic.
Okay, I’ll level with you. Not like it’s much of a secret these days anyway. When I first read Sunset of Time and Long Road to Friendship, I sempai’d you so very much. I know I drowned you in words with that Sunset of Time Followup, but honestly, it deserved more. As does every one of your stories. You’ve got an amazing gift and incredible talent. When you start selling your original stories.. it’s going to be a feeding frenzy.
I am so very happy that I’ve actually gotten to know you both online in the Nook and even had the chance to hang out in person. I was so thrilled when you made yourself at home there. It’s encouraging to know someone has astonishing as you deals with a lot of the same stuff most authors do. It helped remind me that we’re all on a level playing field here. We’re all crazy people pounding away on keyboards about pastel ponies in a bright and colorful world (usually).
Oh yeah, and it’s still entirely your fault I started writing on here. So both you and Sunset can smile those smug little smiles I know you love to wear all day long.
Okay folks. Your turn! Time to share some love. Make someone smile. Go forth and give us all a grin that would make Minuette (and/or Pinkie) proud!

Someone decided others needed it more.
Hrm. 2 of the people I want to yell at for writing amazing stories disappeared off the web.
Bugger.
