More update! · 2:45am Sep 9th, 2017
So yeah! Been busy these last few days, and the next few days will be ... also busy. Probably doesn't help that I'm currently dog-sitting three big lovable hooligans, either. I mean, they're good dogs (mostly), but they're still a handful.
In any case, in case you've not been paying attention for whatever reason, I just posted a new chapter of Octavia's Eleven. Woo?
And, while fun to write, this latest chapter was a lot harder to write than I thought it'd be. I mean, I know how to write Flash Sentry (or at least my scoundrel take on him), and I know how to write Twilight Sparkle ... but mashing the two together requires more head-juggling than I expected. Not to mention that, technically, I'm writing Flash's perspective on Twilight (with commentary from the Princess herself added in a few centuries later). It's weird, it's challenging, and ... it's kind of fun.
In any case, stay tuned! Octavia's Eleven is only going to get crazier from here. I've got a vague plot lined out, but I honestly have no idea how long it'll be. Might come in at the 20-25k range, or it might even skew longer, depending on how things go. I'm hoping to finish things up by the end of the month-ish, but we'll see how things go.
And if, for whatever reason, you're following my blog and not reading the Flash Sentry Papers, just go ahead and start reading The Prisoner of Zebra already. I mean, it's got the same kind of snappy dialogue and whacky hijinks that are my bread & butter, fic-wise ... just starring various background ponies whose personalities I in turn get to make up from whole cloth. Because that's what fanfic is for, right?

Nice! Was just hoping for an update. Twilight's commentary is wonderful. You're straddling the line between not enough Twilight and too much Twilight really well. I do wish there were more, but this is probably the perfect medium.
I can't wait to see if Carrot Top can hold in her jealousy. I mean, it's all for the mission, right?
