    My story, and why writing MLP leaves me now.... conflicted

    I think my last post was brief, so I might as well go into some detail here about my story, why I started writing mlp fanfic, and what is happening now.

    G5: OH THE IRONY...

    You know, it's really really funny... G5 has all the three tribes of ponies hating each other, and living in a modern setting centuries after FiM. I wrote about this very ideas years ago, before G5 was ever conceived of, in a story where Celestia and Luna go on a vacation incognito to the earth pony town of Coltonville, and find pony hatred and paranoia, as well as a conspiracy against unicorn

    Returning for real this time

    Okay, everybody, Paradise/Tornado here again! Yes I know it's been a year, but I needed time to recover from a ten-year burnout in writing, and it took awhile to get my creative juices flowing again. I'm putting together plans for a new story or two, though my plans for my 'big finish' story are on hold again. I hope many of you are still here, and look forward to entertaining all of you with my

Different species of Aquatic Ponies, part one · 6:17am Sep 5th, 2017

Today I want to talk to you about the Aquatic Ponies.

Yes, those wonderful underwater equines who inhabit the deep places of this world; ponies who live underwater, having long ago abandoned the world of the surface, to take up life in the briny blue. Almost every pony on this planet has heard of these magnificent creatures, but so many know so little about them.

There are many common mistakes ponies make, including thinking there is only one type of these creatures. That, of course, is false. There are four known species of Aquatic Ponies, all as different from each other as unicorn, Pegasus, and earth ponies. Here, we shall introduce the two most common types, the two species of seapony;

First is the Ocean Seapony. Descended from Hippogriffs who took to the oceans to escape an enemy in the dim past, these friendly ocean Dwellers are on Good terms with new Equestria. Under they rule of The wise and Gentle queen Skystar, these maritime ponies have hydrokenesis, and a mastery of the ocean waves, that makes it difficult for any enemy to sail their ships even close to New Equestria. Unfortunately, these sea ponies are hostile to Ponylanders, making Ponyland federation vessels journeys at sea extremely perilous. Fortunately, these interlopers cannot swim too far inland, as any attempt to invade our lakes and streams wopuld take them away from the salt water that nourishes these Aquatic Equines.

Second is the Freshwater Seapony. Native to the lakes and rivers of Ponyland, these smaller cousins to the oceangoing types actually began as normal ponies, who were transformed by Magical experiments in the ancient city of Tambleon. While lacking the hydrokenesis of their oceanic counterparts, these ponies posses siren-like singing abilities ,which can produce all sorts of powerful magical affects. Ruled by Duchess Seawinkle, the freshwater herd is a loyal vassal state to the Queen of Dream Valley, and patrol and care for the lakes, rivers, and streams of the Ponyland Federation in her name. Ponyland vessels going to sea will often include a few freshwater Seaponies in their crew, who will swim alongside the boat in the open ocean, and will be taken aboard the ship daily to rest in a freshwater barrel, while the crew cleans the saltwater corrosion out of their gills.

This is only a few of the many differences between the two pony types, I shall cover more of both species in my next blog entry. So until then...

I knew there were seaponies in the ocean, but they rarely travel near Ponyland. They only do so when they raid Ponyland ships for resources or food.
