Update and another author chat

After a lot of hem and haw about how to do the next chapter, I am making some progress at last. Hoping to finish within the week, despite the Christmas holiday.
Most of the delay on this was personal matters keeping me focused elsewhere. The rest of the delay I've been struggling with is due to the kind of stuff about to happen.

Rising Effort C5 up

Bloody took me longer than anticipated, as well as having to split the chapter in half because it went past 20k words. I draw a hard line on length there, so it worked out that I was able to break the chapter almost exactly in half. This is kind of why I so rarely say when a chapter will be coming. Of course, maybe setting myself some deadlines might be motivational now.

The artist, Wilvarin-liadon, does some superb work. What drew me to her work initially was one of her epic backgrounds. She has a great eye for that kind of thing, as you can see. I'd originally been looking at getting a cover image done for TEOE, but found I couldn't settle my mind on anything just yet. I'll do that once I can clarify my mind on what I want to see. Either way, the character drawing I eventually went for turned out beautifully, as you can see.

With the story itself, I am still in an ambiguous hiatus state. As you can see, I'm definitely not giving up on it. Life just has me in a position where I've got a lot of things going on. Perhaps most critically is trying to break my ambivalent depression that makes getting anything done such a challenge. With this image though, I think I can use it to push myself to getting more done.

TEOE is not over.
