Okay, NOT my most Christian moment. But I'm just shocked. And outraged. Is this a deliberate attempt by the British government to force Islam on a little girl (and the population in general), or is it just sheer... lack of being informed? (I really wanted to say "stupidity" here.)
Sorry to have irritated people. I'm just really mad over this and so are a ton of other people who read this, and apparently, it's not even on mainstream news in Britain, or so I think I'e heard and read. If you guys could please pray for this girl and her true parents, please do so.

Considering what the Muslims have been doing in Europe for years now, yes, I should say it matters. And why would you want a girl to be raised in a religion whose holy book says that women are only half the worth of a man? (like how you need two men as a witness in legal cases, and if you can't get that one man and two women will do).
Also, it's the UK. The official language is English, and that's what the girl grew up learning how to speak. There's really no reason to force her to learn Arabic, because knowing Arabic is not an essential to living in an English-speaking country.

Um if you read the Bible it's more or less the same on how women are to be treated. Only in extremest groups are women put down as bad as you think.
I've known many Muslim families who are first generation Americans, that treat women with respect and want their daughters to be well educated.
The only thing done wrong was putting the girl in an environment where she couldn't speak the language.
