Hello Everypony,
"The End of Innocence" is an alternate universe fanfic based on one of the timelines created by Starlight Glimmer when she was duelling with Princess Twilight Sparkle during The Cutie Re-Mark.
As the battle rages with Queen Chrysalis and her Changeling Army, the remaining free ponies led by Zecora prepare to fight to the last with Pinkie Pie as their secret weapon. In the course of this one-shot, the irrepressible party pony finds love with Thunderlane, but don’t expect a happy ending.

I had only ever considered this to be a one-shot, but there's scope to take it in a number of different directions.

Thank you - I like them as a pairing too.
I tried to take the opportunity to push Pinkie beyond just the persona of party pony and explore a different side of her.
Thunderlane has been underused in the series and it was nice to see him make an appearance with his little bro in "Marks and Recreation".
