DaD is just about ready to update! 
But there's more!
There are two things I'd like to touch on here, and I'd really appreciate it if you'd all read this whole blog and give me some input, so I'm not getting into any real life stuff—I'm gonna stick to the important stuff.
1) I've finished the third chapter of DaD that I wanted, and Shah and I have set some time to edit this week, so hopefully by the weekend I'll have chapter 26 up. I'm going to try and have up to chapter 28 published within two weeks, and I'll be taking the story off hiatus while it's updating. After that, I'm gonna need another break.
2) Many of you may know that over the past 4+ years I've been on this site, I've edited over 30 fics by a bunch of different authors, but what I'm sure most of you don't know is that from here on out, I'm going to have to charge for editing full fics (I need some kind of income while I job search). However, that doesn't mean I won't give tips or quick help. That said, if anyone would like that kind of help, I think the best way for me to do it is over Discord. The FimFic server has various help chatrooms, but I've seen them overflow sometimes, so some more sidelined help may be... well, helpful. Since I've also seen DaD spur up some interesting conversation, and I've gotten the occasional PM about it (as well as some other stories), I've been thinking about creating my own server. That way people can chat about the story(/ies) if they want—asking me questions included, though I obviously won't be giving spoilers—and if there are others who would like to give some help outside of the usual retinue of #writing-help helpers (or if you're one of them!), they can offer as well.
I'm generally on Discord at least every other day, and I'm on here every day, so I always see PMs when I get them, and I'd respond in the server as often as possible. Here's where I need your input. While giving more detailed answers would be up to you, yes/no answers are fine, and don't be afraid to give me 'no's. I'm just gauging interest with this. Any other comments are also welcome.
1) Do you think the server would be worth it?
2) If I put an invite up, would you join?
3) Would you want some writing tips or chat about my stories?
Of course, I would also have a #general room where people could just have at it and talk about whatever. There'd really only be one definitive and all-encompassing rule: don't be a dick.
I'm passing it off to you guys now. Any input would be appreciated, even if you just typed "YNN" for "yes, no, and no" (or something like that) in response to those three questions. After I get a good enough feel for interest, I'll decide whether or not to make the server.
You know what, screw it. There's really no harm in just having the server available if people want to hang out. I'm leaving an instant invite for everyone HERE if you'd like to hop into the server. I'm putting that link up in the Author Bio box on my page, too.

True, but a few months ago I created a server for people that might want help dealing with medical situations (like a support group kind of thing) and 'advertised' it in a few relevant Facebook groups. A ton of people said it would be a great idea, but then two people joined the server, and then one of them left. Nobody even typed a single comment past my welcomes. It was disappointing to say the least.
I'd kinda rather not have a repeat of that.Y'know what? You're right. Why not?

I'd been writing 'ADahD' for the full title for a while, then the first time I shortened it to 'Daughter and Dragon' and wrote that acronym out, I was like

I have web hosting system, already set up, it is at http://192.168.1.254:8080/
I host for free so far however the service is not always completely reliable, as we shutdown servers sometimes for updates.
