Alright, that episode of MLP was awesome! Easily one of my favs this season. While the setup and logic can be a bit silly, the overall message I felt was great! This was not said, but I feel Spike’s actions can be seen as not just trusting his friends but also selfish, as though he didn’t want to share them? Sort of a risk of losing a friend to another friend kinda deal…or maybe I’m reading too much into it.
Humor was spot on, Ember’s casual racism cracked me up! (”You can’t blame me for thinking you two look the same. You’re both purple and both have sparkly magic marks on your butts.”) I’m paraphrasing of course. And now Twilight not only has an unhealthy love for books but chairs too o.O. Who knew!
Thorax LITERALLY prancing in place in excitement over seeing Spike was too adorable!
So pros, humor, in character, message, just plain fun and lots of silly shipping jokes to be made!
Cons…*shrugs* Bonny and Lyra didn’t kiss? And…oh yeah, Twilight! She was…too purple!
