Author Spotlight #4: NorrisThePony

Hey, people!

Back again with another author spotlight. Sorry, it took so long to get another one of these out, but life has been insane over the last month.

Anywho, this time around we're gonna chat about an author who is leagues better than I am but is also a personal friend of mine. Check it out below!

NorrisThePony is a hyper-talented author. His use of astounding dialogue, vivid description, and insane enviroments is a beautiful thing, all wrapped together with a nice silver bow of creative thinking. He's like the Trent Reznor of writing. He takes things that most people wouldn't even think of and turns it into something ludicrously fresh and intelligent.

What I personally value about Norris is his ability to change the way you view characters. He'll never admit it because the dude is humble as all hell, but he has the ability to completely transform a character into whatever he wants without ever disrupting their canon personality.

I'm sure we've all heard the old adage that you can fit a lot of emotion into a small package. That's what he does here. He takes a simple on the surface idea and weaves a layer of complexity and thought into it. And... he does it in fewer than 1500 words. Definitely worth a check out when you have a few extra minutes.

This one is a nice switch-up from the usual fare fimfiction has to offer. It's part origin-story, part adventure and part pensive madness into the mind of someone else. It's a complex, fun and downright disturbing fic that takes you to a new environment and explores Celestia and Luna's characters in an entirely different way than you have ever seen. If you want something different, go for it.

This story. Good lord... this story.

This one is dark, it's strange, its haunting... but it is oh so addictive. This story is one of his most highly lauded fictions but it's deserved all of its merits. Its new, it's exciting and it will make you rethink what the "dark" tag can really mean. I don't want to spoil anything about the story, but please, add this to your read later list, because it is a story worth exploring.
