Hey all, sorry about the current delay. I've been out of town two weekends straight these past two weeks and thats when ive been getting in the most of my writing time recently. That being said, the chapter is almost done. It's going to be a two parter (like Imperfections) due to it reaching 20k words with two scenes still to go. Though fear not, every scene in this split chapter is basically 95% dialogue, no more long action sequences for a little while (thank god). The ending will seem a bit abrupt and mid sequence, but it will pick up the very next scene/moment in chapter 148. No planning is required for chapter 148 due to this so im hoping for a faster turn around (though ive said this before... welp)
It's on the way, life has been busy, thank you for being patient with me.

Calm I really don't want to sound like an a-hole, (And I mean it, even though we both know I will sound like one. But you know me I have no quarrel with sounding like an a-hole usually.) but why do you write something that you don't enjoy writing? Yes you will probably say that you enjoy writing long fight scenes, but the a few of them in a row is tiring. Which is true but then why do you write so many in such a short time span? It's not like your readers demand it since you have been apologised for them several times recently which means that there are probably a number of readers besides me who don't like them.
Fanfic is pretty easy in that way, if you think it's not good it most likely isn't

It was not my intention for the action sequence to go on for as long as it did. I do like writing action, but it is more difficult that writing dialogue (at least in my experience it has been) It gets tiring for me after a while, but im not going to suddenly veer off my outline because of that.
Im apologizing because I feel that they've been dragging on and taking too long. The actions serves it's purpose, but this sequence in particular felt like it's significance wore off quickly, the interesting parts passed, and it was just bland as a result. It's self criticism, not bowing and apologizing to my readers.

i had high expectations going into this moment in the storyline, but you don't always hit home runs. I felt chapter 130 was one of my most well executed moments ever in my writing career, and was hoping for a similar impact with this one, but it fell flat.
And no, it did not truly strike me until i went back a week or so later and gave it another read through. But things dont always work out the way you expect them to.

Well that's fair. I usually like write stuff from start to finish to avoid this phenomenon but I do see why it wouldn't work with PTH. For example I'd really like to see people's face when on a boring Thursday afternoon (somewhere in 2020) you randomly release a 2,5 million word long fic.
Also that is part of the reason why I still haven't release my own fic even though its shorter than most of your chapters and I've been working on it for like a year now.
