Alternate Universe Tag: An Informative Guide to my Writing · 5:43am Aug 8th, 2017
Hello, hello. Today I am going to answer another question that hasn't been asked. I will be going over why I use the [Alternate Universe] tag with all of my stories. It will be rather short, or I hope it will be rather short. More below the break.
"Why do I use the AU (Alternate Universe) tag with all of my stories?"
Well that one is a simple answer. Because I think it is called for, now, allow me to explain: I am writing in a Universe (regardless of which one) and some small detail will not be the same, maybe even a bigger detail. And that makes it an alternate from the original (the show). Now, to try and clear up any confusion (or cause more) - when one adds a character, setting, even something smaller like... I don't know... a line of dialogue (sure...) then they (or rather you/me) are using an alternative from the canon.
Yes, even though it is happening "off screen" it still is happening. And because of that (I think) it makes it unworthy to pass as something that isn't in a different universe. As I'm sure you know, if it isn't in the same universe, then it is in an Alternate Universe.
Any, questions, comments, or concerns? Leave them below, or PM them to me and I can help answer them to the best of my abilities. Want to know anything specific? (The same methods mentioned mere moments ago will suffice.) Lastly, thanks for reading.
