Been away for a while. Figured I'd give writing for this fandom a shot.

    Chrysalis Joins the Rebel Alliance.

So what do you guys think? I have a ways to go on A Battledroid Saves Equestria but I was thinking this would be good as a sequel. Let me know what you guys think.

If it means the queen becomes a good guy then I'm all for it.

I like the sound of it

Hmm well she'd stay the chrysalis we all know and love just coincidentally on the rebellions side.

Awesome glad you like it.

So a sort of anti hero type then? Or at least not pure evil?

Either way I like her. I personally am making her repent and become a responsible mother in the series I commissioned.

Well define 'pure evil' IMO she's not really 'pure evil' at any part of canon and she certainly isn't in 'ABSE'. Sure she's a villain and an antagonist but I don't think that really translates to say the kinds of evil we see in Starwars what with a genocide or two being the typical imperial tuesday.

She's very much a softy in comparison to Sideous or Vader and while the plan is for circumstances to kind of force her onto the rebel's side I can't see her really agreeing with the way those two run things either.

To be fair, nearly all of the villains of the show are softies compared to Star Wars villains. The only one I would think is actually evil is Tirek. But the Chrysalis we know from the show doesn't seem exactly willing to fight for anyone but herself. Which is why I mentioned anti hero type. An enemy of our enemy is a friend scenario.

Then yeah I think 'Anti-Hero' covers it pretty well. Though I don't mind the idea of her warming up to the rebels. It's kind of a personal theory of mine that changelings in general wouldn't be so bad if they weren't regarded as monsters to begin with. Put Chrysalis in an environment where the beings around her are so used to seeing strange alien's with strange abilities that it renders it almost a moot point and I think she'll get a bit better.

And as for actually fighting for the rebels...

Well when you're all alone and the entire galaxy fits the bill of 'Outside-Context Problem' she's going to be pretty much completely dependent on whoever she can latch onto for survival. A simple trade of changeling abilities for support doesn't seem too far from something she might do.

I'm not so sure about that actually. Considering what she did to those weird fluffy creatures that hate apparently could only love and accept everything that they saw.
