Simply put, I was brought into ponies through Portal and YouTube. Cupcakes: The Musicals were involved. If anypony cares, I'll list the search history that led me to ponies, as I still rremember it. But for now, 
I sleep. It's 4:51 and I've to be up by like 8:45.
I'll try to keep Portal references down, but for now, the lyrics to Still Alive are working as chapter titles. For now. Oh, and I promise to get to actual origin story next chapter.
It is a good idea to use references as chapter names, actually. Many authors do it, and it is an example of their broad ken.
By the way, I haven't played Portal 2 yet (Sorry, but my boss thinks I must work - ridiculous, really) but I intend to do it as soon as I get a vacation.
