So yeah, Space Wars Day or whatever

Honestly I've been checked out on Star Wars for a long time: longer than before the new trilogy came around to sour it even further. I mean I technically still write Star Wars, though it's nothing that can be accepted by any ol' fan. For one thing, the Ssi-Ruuk are regularly represented, and another is that they're not presented as their original selves. Still a shame they're so under-utilized in

    Positive Vibes

So something curious has just happened: I just got done watching the South Park Post-Covid two part special, and it has put me in a very positive and hopeful mindset. Yeah: South Park of all things giving me the feel-goods. Like legitimate fuzzies about things working out.

    Big News

This is a little late in coming, but last Friday I officially quit my job at Walmart and have moved to a desk job for construction company! It's an hour drive to-and-from and starts early in the day, but it pays more, so huzzah fresh starts! So in light of that, I figure I will go ahead and publish my entry in the Gen

August Aupdate (blegh) · 9:53pm Aug 1st, 2017

Howdy ho neighborinos of ze web-nets. Long time since my last blog post, so here's one to let you know that I'm alive and things have improved in my life. So on this note of positivity I invite you all to make something of this year's August. An obvious thing to do would be to watch the solar eclipse coming up in a few weeks, but this year I've decided to do something I've been meaning to do for years: read Barbara Tuchman's The Guns of August. Already read the prologue; hopefully I'll have it finished before the month is over (or possibly before it's due back to the library). How bout the rest of you join me in writing some critically-acclaimed historical recountings? That way you can say you've read a good piece of nonfiction for a change, as well as earn extra alliteration points.

Otherwise, have some fun with this final month of summer. Only a few more before the big moving picture comes to town. By the by, what's the general impression for this latest season of pony? I haven't been buggered to see any of it for myself, and I'm only vaguely aware of what the episodes are about. Improved, or decreased quality? All the best.

Better than last season so far, but that's mostly damning with faint praise.

I see. But is it that it's mostly middling, or are there some atrocious aspects to this season? Than again, I don't anything can top the trainwreck that was season 3.

Definitely nothing has. This is mostly middling. Starlight's episodes are getting better, but if you're not a fan of her, well, she's still here.

Yeeeeeeeeah. My roommate has some very strong opinions regarding Starlight, in particular regarding her necessity in the Daybreaker episode.
