    Soon!

I think I've used that blog title three or four times now.

Anyway! New chapter of Spectacular Seven is almost done! I was hoping it would be done this week so I could post it on Saturday, but I need to rewrite a scene. And that's before I edit it! And before Drakey edits it! The good news is...

    Ten Years, Still Here

I think back to my nascent days here, reading stories and typing out my own, hoping for the day where I could call myself a veteran of the fandom. My stories would be remembered and I would stand alongside authors like Pen stroke and Aragon.

And I look where I am now and go, ‘well, you got one big hit. Good enough.’

    Thank You

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the GoFundMe or spread the word for it. It really means a lot. Thanks to your donations and getting a little more on my first paycheck than I thought I would, I should be able to stay afloat again.

My Turn to Ask for Help

    Hello friends.

I'm trying to raise money for me and Amber Spark after we suffered an accident with a U-Haul truck. The link to the GoFundMe page is here.

End of the Month Progress: July · 5:58pm Jul 31st, 2017

Whew, that month went by fast, and boy, was it busy! A lot of things happened this month, and there are a lot of things in store, so below the break, get my monthly progress report on all things story related plus details on what's about to go down, as well as a few surprises!

Alright, Sunnybun, what's the word?

31,223! I'm impressed!

Whooohooo! We made it! After months of falling flat, we're back on top baby! It wasn't easy, but it was doable. Special thanks to Camp Nanowrimo for the extra motivation, and Novel-Idea for the extra whipcracking. Slavedriver.

Speaking of, I got to spend a whole day with Novel and the lovely Monochromatic (who I may or may not be married to, it's complicated)! Pizza was eaten, feels were shared, laughs were had, and we sat around, drinking the tears of our readers. We authors are just absolutely horrible when we get together. I had a lot of fun, and I'm sad I won't get to do it again until EFNW next year, which I am totally going to!

Back to the writing side! At the beginning of the month, I posted a new story Time and Time Again featuring Minuette! I wrote for Jake the Army Guy's, Obscure Shipping Contest, of which, I didn't place, but I had fun writing it and managed to crank out the whole story in one day! Minuette is a very fun character to write, and I have an urge to make more short stories with her, but that's lower on the ladder of things I need to do. However, for those of you whole liked the story, or if you're just a fan of Minuette in general, be excited, because she's going to be a main character in my upcoming epic Class Zero!

A lot of things were accomplished this month. I said I would spend my 30k on Spectacular Seven, and for the most part, I did! As of now, five chapters are roughly complete with chapter 6 nearing the end, putting us at roughly 1/3 of the way through the volume. I think I'm making good times, because in about one chapter, things really start to get interesting, and I have feeling I'm going to start flying through it. The rest of my words were spent on a new story set to debut in the coming weeks. It was co-conceived with Oroboro, so pack your bags 'cause we're going on a feels trip.

A new chapter of Across the Shimmering Sea has been posted in case you didn't see that. I don't know why it took me so long to edit that! It was just sitting around since the end of June. I kept putting it off to write I guess.

I would have started making follow-ups for the Equestria Girls specials, but the wiki hasn't uploaded the images yet. As soon as they do, I'll get started. You guys will like the Mirror Magic review.

Hiiisssssss!

See? Sunset's excited.

And now, we look toward August, my favorite month of the year! And it looks busy, busy, busy! On the Spectacular Seven front, I plan on continuing my steady pace to pour words into the story. The whole volume is looking to be 19 to 20 chapters long. If I'm not done by October, November will be the big push, as I'll assign it to be my Nanowrimo project, so hopefully, Volume II will start in December if not, very early January at the latest. This will be the longest hiatus. Once Volume II is pushing out chapters, I'll be working on Volume III, so the wait between those shouldn't be more than a month or two.

I'd like to put out another chapter of Across the Shimmering Sea. I have to two chapters I'm really looking forward to writing, so that's good motivation. It's more of just finding time now.

Class Zero is coming soon! This month, I put the finishing touches on the story, history, and characters, then find my editors and proofreaders! By the end of August, production will have begun, and I plan to start releasing chapters at the end of September to coincide with me going to grad school!

This month, prepare for at least two brand new stories from me! Maybe even three! 'Three stories in one month? Has he gone mad?' Yes, yes I have! One of them won't be too long, one of them will be of some decent length, and the last one... might just go on forever....

The first story, Mechanical Soul is on the horizon, so stay tuned!

As much writing as I'm doing now, I haven't had a lot of time for reading. I'm going to try, key word 'try' to read more this month. I have created a new bookshelf titled First Order, where stories written by friends or very good authors go, making them first priority. This month, I'm going to try to get through Quillamore's If You Give a Little Love, and Novel's Wavelengths Timeline, both of which you should check out.

For the publication of Long Road to Friendship, I'm currently running through it to pick up as many errors as I can before it's sent to print. Don't worry, when it's ready, I'll give a shout. Also, Reading Rainboom has started an audio adaptation of the story, which you can find here! Check that out too, if you're so inclined.

For all you Sunset lovers out there, keep your eye on Oroboro tomorrow and clear your schedules! We're gonna have fun this month!

And lastly, my good friend DrakeyC was super awesome and nice, and I'm still flabbergasted he did this for me, but he commissioned an art piece for my upcoming birthday! Somehow, it got leaked early. Like, really early, but I'm still floored!

Light and darkness cast long shadows.

Aksdjfhbisakgerkgheyg!

It's so beautiful! Thank you Drakey! And thank you to the artist who made it! I also kindly request no one uses this as coverart. Odds are, I'll end up making a story for this eventually.

And that's my monthly progress report! Lots to do, not a lot of time to do it, but I'll do it anyway! Stay cool, kids, and we'll chat real soon!

It's been a fun month, and I think we should all be thankful to Novel for cracking that whip at us. 10/10 would room with you again at Camp NaNoWriMo.

Also, tomorrow's thing is gonna be great. Everyone get hyped!

Still want an English long road printing....:ajsleepy:

Wow, that's a lot of things done and planned. Congrats, and good thing you are having fun!

Can't wait for more Across the Shimmering Sea; last chapter was amazing! :pinkiegasp:

Good luck for next month.

Looking forward to Class Zero, I'll be happy to keep you on course with FF references for you if you need it, I've proven my credentials there.

No prob for the art. Wasn't a leak apparently, he just always makes pieces available on patreon once they're done. So happy you like it.

Happy writings!

Glad to hear things have been going well for you and I am looking forward to everything you said is coming out! And that art piece is truly gorgeous and worthy to any Sunset story you make it a cover to. Hope you have a spectacular August!

If Sunny hisses when she's just excited... I don't even what to know what happens when she's mad. :rainbowderp:

This month, I'm going to try to get through Quillamore's If You Give a Little Love, and Novel's Wavelengths Timeline, both of which you should check out.

That's the spirit! Especially considering that it's now longer than Long Road to Friendship! :rainbowlaugh:

AHHHH THAT PICTURE IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! :D

I don't know how much you know, but there's even more news in EqG land! they've been releasing these Summertime Shorts, including more Sunset in the latest two. No spoilers, but there are two things about them that made me think of you haha. They're already online, so you should see them when you have a chance!

Even bigger is the news that EqG is finally have a full series on Youtube. Dunno why they are going for YT or how long the episodes will be, but this is literally what I've been waiting for and I'm excited they're finally going for it :D.
