    About My Existence

    Hello,

    You might not know me.

    You might not remember me.

Throughout the years, I have changed a lot. I have changed my identity, my characteristics, my personality.

I revolved and bubbled all over, evaporated, coagulated, and rebuilt myself.

    A Ghost Passing By

Oh boy, it feels weird to be here again after so long.

For nearly a year, maybe more, I've been a poltergeist tossing and turning inside the walls of FimFiction. Once or twice, something might have escaped, but not much. Not much at all.

    For Others

When you hear the word charity what comes to your mind?

Giving money to non-profit institutions? Food and water to refugees? Some little coins to a beggar?

Although those are forms of charity, the concept goes way beyond that. In fact, I think the word charity may not be the perfect expression to describe a few things. I prefer the term work.

    Work for others.

    You Deserve It

You deserve to be whatever you want.

Your existence is a must. Whether you consider your past choices bad or good.

We are windows through which the universe comprehends itself, we awoke in the dust of a blue world, we crawled our way out of the mud. As far as we know, in a sphere of light-years, we are going solo.

Things That Really Matter · 3:32pm Jul 30th, 2017

Our society is plagued with anxiety.

It is no unknown truth the fact that the world has been speeding its processes since the 80's, with the arrival of the internet and globalization every new decade brought with it new wonders, and new challenges too.

Technology has been advancing incredibly fast, but our fragile organic bodies have not. Nowadays, in a society built on top of microchips, screens, and high-speed internet, we may even feel a little bit 'outdated'. It's difficult, not to say impossible, to stay up to date with all the new trends that seem to emerge from nowhere.

But why should we, anyway?

When we stop to observe the last two generations, those who are now young adults and teenagers, those who were born and raised in the connected world, those who were supposed to become the high-end digital human beings, we see no peace of mind. Of course that are exceptions, but it can't be denied that something odd is happening to us.

What was supposed to be a generation of freedom and happiness, has become a generation of lonely, isolated people, suffering from depression, panic attacks, psychological disorders, enslaved to prescription drugs - most of those prescribed by doctors who simply don't know what to do anymore.

It's true: we have smartphones, youtube, video games, and trendy stuff. But what else? What is the real cost of those things?

We've been paying for all this modernity with our sanity.

We can find absolutely anything in the internet, learn thousands of subjects for free, find things that could greatly improve our lives and the lives of others. From yoga to quantum physics. But instead we watch funny cats and disposable memes.

They have been numbing our senses with distractions, while we are slowly integrated into this dumb mechanism of standardization. We struggle to be ourselves, to be original and unique, and blindly we go deeper into this machine.

Why should we prove ourselves to anyone but us? Why are we despaired to leave a mark in this planet? It seems like the more we try, the most difficult it gets.

People have been devoting their lives to please others, and forgetting about something as basic and crucial as themselves. The more they try, the more they cease to be.

So, I invite you to ask yourself, what really matters?

Some of that, yes, may be true. And to some, yes. I do agree.

But I hold it more to the nature of those before us that are hell bent on ensuring they take everyone and everything scary with them when they do. They fear the future, what it could be, that they used to control, and more and more, its slipping from their grasp.

We can do more, we have many willing to step up, and step forward, but its those behind us, that are in places now, that dont want to go quietly, chaining us to them and ensuring mutual destruction when we eventually manage to overcome what damage they've done.

I'm not talking politics, though it applies, but life in general. We should be helping those that come after us to be better people, not dragging them down into the filth.

4617823 Sure thing, you're completely right. Those who arrived before us have the greatest responsibility for what's been happening to the world today.

If the recent generation behaves like this, it's mostly because of the state we found the world. It was not a choice; but rather what was given to us.

I know i'm a very broken individual when it comes a lot of things. My own awful views, and so much more.

But in the kids ive tried to help, i've only hoped ive passed on none of that, but how to be a decent human being, with the strong inner fiber to stand up and do what we may not get a chance to.

No you are right, the way that I see it, our expectations for ourselves and the modern world is killing us.

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. A great convenience is also a great inconvenience. We just need to practice moderation and be aware that there is more to life than text and images on a screen.

I was and still somewhat am a shut-in; i've been trying to change my ways as of late. I went for a walk one day after being cooped up indoors for so long, and it's rediculous how clear my mind became. Seeing the grass, the flowers blooming, the warmth of the sun countered by the chill in the wind... Truly marvelous.

We just need to put down our phones and labtops and look around us. Maybe try to talk to and meet some people. Some actual communication rather than text. Some actual experiences rather than watching what others experience through videos. Variety is the spice of life, as they say.

4617849 I hope you, alongside with everyone else, succeed in passing on to the next generations something good and positive, unlike most of the bitterness we received.

I do agree on some parts.
The way we see ourselves and others around us relates to how our parents helped to bring us up, and what kind of media you intake on a daily basis.

4617890 The world is truly a great place, recently I found myself going for long walks on the beach and observing small details such as the texture of the sand, or the peculiar-shaped rocks and seashells. It's true; there are terrible things going on, but there's also so much simplicity and beauty in the world.

I think we may have just forgotten about that.

There's wisdom in your words

What matters is proving that Mob Psycho 100 is the prequel to One Punch Man.
