IN WHICH I BRIEFLY RETURN
Subtitle: A LUCKY BREAK.
Okay, so, good news bad news time. Bad News: I still don't have a new laptop (accumulating the funds to buy it has been slower than anticipated) so FF4.0 is still mostly broken for me.
Good News: Every once in awhile, the site will almost work. It's extremely random, but I was able to respond to Coffee's comment, which shocked the everloving hell out of me, but it also made me decide to try and attempt other things as well.
TL;DR - I managed to post the final chapter of "Mayor's Break Time". I finally completed a long-running series!!
I hope you're not too disappointed in it or me. Originally, I wanted MBT to run for several more chapters, but I simply ran out of ideas, and that's my own fault. So, I decided to end the series in the most fitting way I could: by having the principal characters tell the story to føck itself and leave, not unlike "Comma Comma" (which Spike directly references in "On Strike" – actually, he references several of my previous works; can you name them all?. I'll leave open the possibility of adding more in the future if a new idea comes to me but, for now, MBT is over.
I finished "On Strike" over a month ago and have been rarin' to post it. With constant refreshing of these pages tonight, I was finally able to paste it, edit it, and publish it. I hope my readers enjoy it. Maybe no one will read it -- my Mayor Mare fics have never gotten the traffic my Sunset fics do. That is perhaps a little ironic as I started my publishing history on this site with The Mayor and I make a point to write a new story for her every January 20th, and intend to do so in 2018 as well. But, hey, Sunset's more popular. She's also my muse, so I guess it's only natural readers gravitate to my stories about her. But that's a subject for my next blogpost, which will come once new lappy happens and I can use FimFic to its fullest again.
Won't lie: I wonder what will become of me now that, at least on my end, the Recovery Arc is completed? Will I be abandoned? Or might my readers be willing to see what else I have in store for Sunnybuns, because I do have more stories planned (and/or partly written) for her.
Well, I shouldn't think about that right now. I still have other stories to work on, and I look forward to being able to share it all with you as soon as I can.
Thank you for sticking with me through my technically still ongoing hiatus.
Peace out!
I doubt that completing the arc will cause people to jump ship. There will be the inevitable question of what comes next, but complete arcs are a good thing!
