First Blog Post, YAY! :D · 6:55pm Jul 21st, 2017
Alright, first blog post; let's start clearing some s*yay* up.
First of all, hi, I've been a big fan of the show since 2012 (technically I started in 2011, but that's another story). My favorite pony in the series is Twilight Sparkle, my favorite episode would probably have to be "The Perfect Pear" as of right now, my favorite two-parter is definitely "Twilight's Kingdom", and my least favorite episode is "28 Pranks Later". As for Equestria Girls, my favorite movie of the bunch is undoubtedly "Rainbow Rocks", and the worst part about the series was the special "Mirror Magic", which I declare as worse than "28 Pranks Later". And for the record, I have in fact seen all the Generation 1, 3, and 3.5 animations (yes, even Newborn Cuties...*shudders*).
Secondly, I'm currently studying for an English major and figured writing fanfiction could be a helpful and fun hobby to coincide. And FiM has plenty of potential, as this site is quick to remind you. :P Upon my days browsing TV Tropes, I stumbled upon a certain hatefic known as "My Little Unicorn" by a certain person going by the name Dakari-King Mykan. I thought nothing of it at first, but as time went on, it continued and persisted, and is now in its sixth season somehow. This guy's hatred for the show and friendship in general is intense, dude! He'd make a great supervillain if he wasn't a real life person.
After witnessing a few chapters, and hearing about some...infuriating moments, namely regarding the death of best pony, I decided to try my hand at making something based around it. I thought of several things, such as scene-by-scene parodies to a full-on abridged series. But in the end, I decided to just full-on redo the heck out of everything. Several people have continued the story after Twilight's death with their own further interpretations on this world, but I thought "why even deal with that spoiler? Why not just start from the very beginning?" And that's what I chose to do.
So that's my story overall. The next blog post will go into detail about the first chapter because I feel I've kept you here long enough as is. I hope you enjoy my story, and that you all have a fantastic day today.
