Season 5 Episode 13: The Gang Fights PTSD · 10:04pm Jul 20th, 2017
Seriously great episode but seriously. First of all, I don't know why I stopped at episode 12- maybe that was the newest one or maybe it was just a bad run of episodes before this but this episode is awesome.
Dream magic is awesome and I have loved the idea of a dreamwalking Luna since she did that a few times but this is another level.
Bit childish though going from a Y7 rating to a Y that's kind of disappointing.
But seriously Luna gives herself the same dream every night to replay the horrible things she did during NMM? And this is coming up in season 5? Are the writers worried about the implication that Luna has been dealing with psychological issues for five seasons without anybody being worried about Luna?
Or is she that good at hiding it. Cause I joked in my stories that Luna has PTSD and flashbacks of her bad things and is having a hard time coping with the new Equestria but here she is in the show birthing a dream monster because she has so much guilt about her bad deeds.
Okay so the writers gave Luna the faintest hint at psychological distress and a worsening mental state.
"She created the Tantabus to punish herself" and she didn't feel bad enough to tell anybody. Okay maybe she's a masochist having PTSD flashbacks. And Luna created life through guilt. That's kind of messed up that she comes to terms with her living guilt. Does that kill the Tantabus?
Seriously the show gives me these little nuggets and my mind just goes with them.
Thought it was a good episode though
