Status of "The Lonesome Corner" and a New Story. · 2:12pm Jul 20th, 2017
Good morning/evening, dear readers. This is mostly to anyone who has liked or is following the "Lonesome Corner" story. As a lot of you know, the story has gone without an update for...a few months? I think? There are two main reasons for that.
1. I just prefer to work on my FanFiction.net stories, due to me using Google Docs for those, which I find slightly more intuitive than the in-house editor. Don't know why, I love the fact that FimFiction.net has an in-house editor. Maybe it's because of the fact that Google Docs uses a font-changing technique for things like italics, or it's because I've taken such a break from this site. Speaking of which:
2. I'm...in a corner. No pun intended, though you may chortle if you want. I don't know where to take this story. I said I had a plan, and I did! But, I don't know, I don't have much of a drive right now to do it.
So, what now? Well, I'm putting the story on hiatus (which is something else Fimfiction.net does well; FanFiction.net is just "Completed" and "No Status".) until I can really brainstorm and come up with a direction to take it. Shouldn't be that difficult. I have a RWBY story of FanFiction.net that's pretty off the cuff, but because I did think about the plot-points more, I can write that better and with more drive. (It also helps that the Lonesome Corner was my first ever story, so things like "forward thinking" didn't cross me when brainstorming for that.)
There will be a new story that has the healthier mix of improv and forward thinking that I love doing. Will it be planned out to the word? Of course not. But I think you guys will enjoy this one more, because with this one, I know what I'm doing. I hope you enjoy.
