So a couple years ago some contests or something happened, having to do with some niche side character nobody'd heard of called Sunset Shimmer and having her do big gross kissy things with people. It was fun and maybe the biggest thing ever for a while. I entered twice, and placed fourth in the second one.

    Fifteen Pages Isekai!

If you haven't been keeping up with Sunset's Isekai, the gist of it is that Sunset own an interdimensional bar that materializes in various places whenever someone has dire need of... well, a bar. It's a big multi-story crossover, with characters from various fanfictions coming to Sunset for a thoughtful ear and/or a stiff drink.

Apples. Eyeballs. Apples & Eyeballs.

TApples & Eyeballs
Aria Blaze takes up farming. It's not nearly as wholesome as Applejack was hoping.

I mention this lovely little story because forbloodysummer, one of the darlingest bros I’ve had the privilege of working with, decided that perhaps the least spin-off-deserving line of dialogue I’ve ever written deserved a spin-off and then produced said spin-off with me tagging along as an editor, creative consultant, and writer of certain scenes. If you’ve read LATOS, it’ll be pretty obvious which one it was, and if you enjoyed said reading of LATOS you might enjoy Apples & Eyeballs, which I think does a quite fine job of capturing the sort of hedonistic depravity I imagined this depiction of Aria living, and throws in a little bit of shipping on the side. On the other hand, if you’re one of those people who did not read LATOS, there’s something waiting for you just a little ways below to show that I haven’t been entirely neglecting you this last week.
