Yeah looks like my newest and most off the cuff story is good. But yeah I like dialogue for politics.
And just in case, I can listen to other people decently. So as I said before in a comment trying to explain what an anti-vaxxer was, it's a difficult kind of discussion to have and so it's one side and I may have strawmanned a bit.
Okay more than a bit.
This is why I don't use Starlight Glimmer much in stories because when you have a character so evil or so influenced by their personal beliefs that its almost ridiculous it's kind of hard to write a story that isn't a satire in some way. I mean I do have ideas with Starlight, for example, but if I touched the early season 5 stuff I'd have like a parody of communism. Which is like too basic and also way too political for me to touch.
Idea of the story? Hey wouldn't it be funny if Spoiled Rich was the most out there stereotype of white middle aged mothers who know how important they are. And then the story became what it is.
I just think satire has become this nonexistent or meaningless word nowadays Sure the dictionary says parody and satire are synonyms but in my eyes, satire is this more serious thing or an attempt at it. Parody is exaggerated to almost a ridiculous degree that barely makes sense.
Or at least that's how I define it. It's the end point I focus on. If the story feels like it needs some silly ending it makes me overexaggerate the goofy aspects. If I think I'm trying to vent on one particular viewpoint- which is where I come from with satire it makes me more serious or emotional based.
And yes writing a story out of annoyance may be wrong but I do seem to be rather focused and quick at getting things done when doing so.
