* Note: For context on the title, Alexandria is Quillamore and Quillamore is Alexandria. I don't often use my real name on FiMFic, but for some reason, it has a better ring to it than "Quilla's Follower Rush." Yes, I am one of the few female users on this site, yes, the only other one I can name off the top of my head is Crystal Wishes, and yes, I kinda thought Estee was a girl up until a couple months ago.
Anyway, I know I've been writing a lot of oneshots lately, but my longtime FiMFic friend Manaphy is hosting a contest about "villains/former villains doing heroic things," and I was on it the minute I saw Babs Seed on the list. (At this rate, I might have more Babs stories than Coco stories. I feel like I'm trying to compensate for her having less screentime in If You Give a Little Love.) Plus, there's an idea I've been dying to try out for a couple years that I know would suit this competition perfectly: a reimagining of Babs' Equestria Girls annual.
Long-time users will know that I don't like this comic and that the only thing I find tolerable about it is Babs' penchant for military fashion. But really, that's not the propelling reason I'm writing it now and not, say, a couple years ago. My imagining of how Babs would fit into the EqG universe would involve her having trouble at her past school, Principal Celestia contacting Sunset about the new student's issues, and Sunset mentoring and helping her out. Kinda the whole cliched high school plot where two troubled students help each other out, which I'm a total sucker for. (Coco, by the way, is Babs' older sister in this timeline. She got into Crystal Prep, but Babs didn't. Crystal Prep is still Crystal Prep, and not a Chuck E. Cheese's.)
Basically, I would've written this story even without the competition, because I'm on a bit of a Sunset Shimmer kick right now. Which could be because The Albinocorn started following me and dragged further into Sunset fandom. It could just be coincidental. Anyway, look for it next week!
For the other part of the post, there isn't a whole lot to say, really. Just that I'm 3 followers away from 200, and I'm super pumped! If any of you guys are interested in seeing more from me, please feel free to follow. I'm not quite begging, but it would be nice...and I'm terrible at this subtlety thing.
For everyone else, the new IGYALL's coming out tomorrow! It's technically a breather episode before the big interrogation, but there's still gonna be a lot of heartfelt moments with the newly formed Scene/Coco/Babs trio~

To be fair, I've had the idea in my head for a while. You just motivated me.
And besides, I never hated Sunset to begin with. It's just a matter of liking her maybe 10 or 15% more.
Sounds interesting! I can’t blame you. The albinocorn has some of the best stuff on this site imo. No one does Sunset Shimmer better. After reading albinos stuff I got hooked on sunset and EG stuff.
