Just came into my head just now; during the chapter that I'm working on called To Canterlot High and Back, Sunset Shimmer comes face to face with Twilight Sparkle as the Green Ranger during the Friendship Games (I'm skipping Rainbow Rocks as I got plans for a certain trio of Sirens).
During the encounter, Sunset Shimmer with the help of the Power Rangers who are trying to stop the Green Ranger somehow becomes the White Power Ranger (from Season 2 of MMPR) as a way to counter the Green Ranger.
What do you all think if it? Jumping the gun? Or should there be another way of Sunset becoming a Power Ranger in the story?
Once more, please give this story a chance as I'm working hard on it.

Sounds good to me. Maybe the Rangers could find some metal that their coins are made of and manage to form it into the shape of a power coin, but lack the means to properly charge it in the morphing grid. Once at the Friendship Games, both the magic there and the power of the morphing grid could combine to power the white power coin. Sunset could place the coin into Sci-Twi's gadget and as she calls out the magic of her friends that's how it manages to get powerful enough to fully connect with the morphing grid.
