Alright, Happy 4th of July, anyone who lives and/or respects The United States of America! As a special, I have a story trilogy in mind, one that I kinda want to do, but I'm not sure if it's going to work, since I'm not all that especially talented when it comes to writing intense action or character drama (just see that a good 90% of my work is under Comedy). The Trilogy is as simple as this:
Hengststein
Stallion Stone in English
Set in an alternate version of Equestria, one where technology is more advanced than what we know... but not for the best. Everyone is an Antrho (With human arms and legs), but the world is at a grave war. The Changeling Empire's technology has rapidly advanced, and have been taking over various other kingdoms, converting it's citizens to join their reign. Equestria, and it's various factions, have been holding the line, with one soldier being well known to both sides; beloved by Equestria and feared by the Changelings: Shining Armor. But nothing is as simple as it seems... to history, that is. To the Captain of the Royal guard, the only good changeling is a dead one.
The Old Blood.
Shining Armor and one of the various spies have to infiltrate Castle Hengstein to find Spoiled Rich and find the whereabouts of Queen Chrysalis's location in hopes of finishing her and end the war. It transpires as he battles a sadistic Iron Will, and teams up with a cowardly Sunburst, a Young Starlight Glimmer, and the agent, Fleur De Lis.
The New Order.
Equestria has fallen. A failed attempt to kill Chrysalis, even with the help of Flash Sentry and Big Macintosh, Shining failed to end Chrysalis's reign, and paid for it with a near 15 year coma. But when his love, the pegasus herself, Cadence, is threatened, it's time for him to get up and get Equestria back from the Changeling scum themselves and end what he failed to do. Killing Changelings is easy;
making a resistance group is another, even with the help of a crippled Luna, a wannabe rock star Vinyl Scratch, and an ex changeling named Thorax & his adopted yeti son, Ruthford (who can only say his name). Of course, he's going to have quite the encounters with Chrysalis' daughter, Pupa, and her boyfriend, Filthy Rich.
The New Colossus
Even after the death of Chrysalis, the Changelings still have an iron grip on the world. Pupa has taken over, and is hunting down Shining Armor, who's been crippled and in another coma, albeit, shorter this time. With news of Cadence pregnant with a daughter,
Shining is more than determined to get rid of the Changeling assholes that have his homeland under control, bringing in more Freedom Fighters, hoping to cause a revolution in Canterlot. All he wants is to end this bullshit and have his happy life, even if he's gonna die, it's better for the next generation.
If you need to know, while Changelings hate every other race but theirs, they do find interest in albino cretures, as they think they're the next step for their kind to become pure. Shining Armor is a double edged sword in this case.
