I really can't believe it's taken me this long.
For those of you who don't know, I'm a huge fan of Sonic the Hedgehog (mostly the modern games). Sonic has been part of my life since I was a kid and was even the first franchise I ever read any fan fiction of. I remember that story; it was a multi-part YouTube series about Sonic and Amy (my favorite shipping in all media), and from then on, I kept searching for more stories. Eventually, I came across fanfiction.net, and ever since, I've indulged myself in fan fiction.
I always thought about writing my own Sonic fic, but I never got around to it since I thought no one would like my ideas. In fact, I never planned on releasing even my MLP fics until I made promise to honor a late friend of mine. However, since I've been relatively successful here on FimFiction, and now that I've got more experience (as well as another FimFic on the way), I want to start writing Sonic fics, too. It's been a long time coming, and I can't wait to get started.
So, there you have it. I'm going to be writing Sonic fics as well as MLP fics. Of course, I'm not going to post my Sonic fics here; I'll post them on fanfiction.net (I better think of a good username). But first things first; I've got to finish my current FimFic 
You totally should. You could write a kickass Sonic fic.

There's plenty of SonAmy in Sonic Boom (season 2 is great), and I'm really hoping there's some SonAmy in Sonic Forces.
