So That Happened XD · 4:07am Jun 30th, 2017

So my dad got mad at my sister and me for not cleaning up our room, which is totally understandable. Especially since we're practically adults, and not only are we practically adults, but me, my sister, and my parents are moving out of state soon, and are trying to get ready to sell our house. So it's only natural for our parents to threaten to throw our away our stuff if we didn't comply. I thought they were being totally reasonable.

But my sister, wonderful and sweet as she was, didn't seem to understand, and proceeded to say, "I don't remember you throwing away our electronics being a part of the equation."

Which immediately led to a short family meeting to clarify that my dad is going to, and I quote, "throw out [our] shit" if we didn't comply to his, again, very reasonable demands all because my sister decided to play it dumb instead of doing what he asked. It wasn't that big of a mess, so we cleaned it up pretty quickly. I told her to stay out of my way while I dealt with organizing our electronics, and of course that offended her, so she spent the rest of the time sitting on her bed and giving me this "subdued" glare with her arms crossed acting as if she were a powerful deity and I was but a lowly sinner who had ultimately wronged her. While I was sorting through the electronics and tangled wires, I saw a couple things that were hers: a notebook, and a small 3DS box. I tossed the objects to her, and the box fell to the ground.

I kept working on the electronics for a few minutes and saw that the box was still on the ground.

"Hey, V, that box is yours. Can you please deal with it?"

She answered by giving me the same look of disapproval and shunning that she had been giving me all week (that's a story for another day, btw).

Finally I finished with the electronics, and the box was still on the frigging ground. So I decided to handle it myself. I picked up some garbage and the box that was on the floor-

V: "HEY! That's my box, put it down!"

Me: "You didn't pick it up, so I'm going to deal with it. Do you want me to throw it away or do you wanna keep it?"

The box looked really cool, admittedly, but was still, also, a cardboard box that would otherwise be considered garbage, so I felt I should ask to be sure.

V: "Give it back to me, I'm gonna handle it!"

Me: "I asked you to handle it and you didn't, so I'm taking it as a sign that I needed to deal with it myself. Do you want me to throw it away or do you want to keep it?"

V: "I was gonna handle it after you left the room!"

Me: "Do you want to keep it or do you want to throw it away?"

V: "You just wanna start an argument do you?!"

Me: "Do you WANT to throw it away or not?"

V: "If you don't give that to me, I'm gonna take it from you, and you're not gonna like it when I take if from you."

Me: "Look, all I'm asking is if-."

She then proceeded to stride over, grab the box from my hand, and smack my across the face with it. :rainbowlaugh:

I was going to make a witty comment, but the title sums it up perfectly.

Still, I'll try to simplify my own thoughts...

...

... The f*ck?!

Yeah. I know. To put more salt on the wound I drove her to and back from work today. :rainbowlaugh: I wasn't trying to be mean or anything, I just didn't want my stuff being thrown away just because she was throwing a cow.

Oh dear. :rainbowderp::rainbowlaugh:

Also

throwing a cow

This made me laugh harder than I should have. :rainbowlaugh:
I've never heard that phrase mix before.

Wow... And thought my brother could be a jackass. :applejackunsure:

No offence, Gala, but your sister seems like a complete b*tch. :twilightsheepish:

:rainbowlaugh: Reminds me of my sister. Although she didn't dare hit me with them, because I fought back. So instead she just threw stuff at me. Pillows, books, couple phones. I'm 21 and she's 22 and there are still holes in that wall to this day. She is also still scared of me :pinkiecrazy:

Talk about having a hell of a time.

She then proceeded to stride over, grab the box from my hand, and smack my across the face with it. :rainbowlaugh:

:pinkiegasp::ajsleepy:

Sorry you got hit, and about having to move (unless you want to). I know how it feels to have to deal with getting rid of unnecessary stuff. I don't think I've ever been slapped across the face with a box, though.

Sorry. :twilightblush:

May God go with you all, and good night.

Don't worry about it. Sometimes I feel like she's one too, but she's...usually better than that. :rainbowlaugh: Lately I've come to realize that maybe I'm not as bad as she thinks I am, but regardless, she's usually a very sweet person, and if anyone were to mess with her, I would probably wreck them.

But yeah, seriously, smacking me in the face with a box isn't cool. And she's still justifying it as me being wrong. :rainbowlaugh: I dunno about you, but this was hilarious.

4587239

I wish I was in your position; then I wouldn't have to be smacked with card board boxes. :rainbowlaugh:

4587245

Indeed it was, lol.

4587225

If she could, she probably would physically do that. :rainbowlaugh:

4587251
Yeah, I feel about the same way about my brother. Our problem is that I am quick-tempered and he is obnoxious. Baaaad combination. But if anyone messed with him, I would wreck them too! One time, he told me and Mom that his math teacher was being a total jerk to him and I was fully ready to go to the school armed with my pocket knife! :twilightangry2: On Sunday, I told the principal (Who went to our church and we were friends with her) all about it and she fixed it. Of course, my brother, being the jackass he sometimes is, didn't even give me a genuine thank you. :facehoof:

Also, it was just a cardboard box, sister. Cardboard doesn't hurt. The way I see it: no harm, no foal. Heck, me and my brother used to get into physical fights! We never threw punches, but we did wrestle each other. Sometimes, it was play wrestling. Other times, it was legit fighting. Ahhh, good times.

4587224 Didn't know you could drive.

4587239 I thought you were around the age of 18. Maybe I haven't been paying enough attention.

4587382 Funny, people usually only think I'm 18 or under when they see me in person. 9 or under on the phone :rainbowlaugh:

I know your sister is giving you a hard time this week, but I'm sure it's just that she's anxious about moving and being a b*tch is her way of coping with it. Once the dust has settled, I'm sure she'll go back to being the super sweet person you say she is.

4588878

Nah, we're both totally cool with moving. :rainbowlaugh: she's just very easily offended. But it's cool, she's calmed down now.

4588892
Well, I guess I can relate to her. I mean, I'm not easily offended, but I do get angry if someone so much as glances at me funny! :twilightsheepish: Oh, well. At least she's settled down.
