An Update on the Bronycon Situation and also some fun... er, stuff? · 7:36pm Jun 29th, 2017

So, after getting a bunch of dead leads and one acceptance that flipped into a dead lead, I bit the bullet and got the best, cheapest room I could get for Bronycon, and I actually got a fairly nice one. Although getting it still puts me 200 or so dollars over the budget I wanted. That said, I have a room now. That also said: I am still looking for roommates.

If you know someone who needs a room and is willing to split costs with me, send them my way. I have plenty of time to alter the reservation. So, please, spread the word if you can.

That said, I have been wanting to make a post about something else: Darkest Dungeon! The DLC release has pushed me to finally sit down and finish the game, and for added fun, I have been taking up the XCOM tradition of naming dudes after people I know. So, I want you - yes, YOU! - to lend me your names for the expendable meat and insanity sacks precious pixel babies I will most certainly not be feeding into the vampiric meat-grinder that is the Crimson Court.

So, if you're a fan of DD or just want to join in the silliness, comment below with a name and a preferred class or just a general fantasy archetype I will try to loosely project onto the DD suckers hero roster. If people have enough of an interest, I can do regular progress reports on the status of various dudes as a sort of text-based LP.

Currently we have:
Cynewulf as a Vestal
Masked Ferret as a Plague Doctor
SoloBrony as a Jester
Aragon as a Flagellant
Nadnerb as an Arbalest
and Wanderer D as a Houndmaster (whenever I get one)

Me as whatever you think would be best.

I know of a hotel that's stupidly cheap. Like I think it cost me $500 for four days last time. I forget if that's CDN of USD. Only issue is that it's the definition of one star hotel. Still nice, though. It's like ten blocks from the convention centre or so. Let me know if you're interested and I can point to it, eh?

Oh! And you can use my name. Uhh I don't know any of the classes. Maybe a thief or jester? Something that does something silly 😃 Or barring that, something evol 😈 A cultist?

The hotel I got is across the street and is 540 for four nights, so I think I got a good deal, but I'm worried about the tax on top of that and even that is over my original budget.

That said I've basically decided to swallow the difference if I have to. I just don't want to if it can be avoided.

Leper, as he is the underappreciated bro of the cast.

While not evil or even a proper cultist, the Occultist uses the powers of darkness to fight the darkness. I also have one whose come down with a case of being a goddamned vampire, so he'll probably do. Alternatively I have a Grave Robber open, they're just also a willowy blond chick. That said, they will stick knives and poisons into your everywhere.

I want in as well.
Whatever class you think best fits a lazy coward like me.
Hurt me DD.

Antiquarian. Although she isn't a lazy coward - she's a very energetic and proactive coward.

Antiquarian preferred, Grave Robber if you're keeping it at a 1:1 ratio for now! :pinkiehappy:

Anybody looking for roommates for any pony con should check Convention Planning.

Shit I am late. As usual. As much as I'd like to be represented by a blond, spindly gobshite who gallivants amongst the tombstones who titters as she fondles her plunder with her questing hands, especially given my fascination for death, I think 4587064 should get her. Because I dunno. Perhaps she fits her better? Occultist sounds cool. Then again, grave robber does equal mischief. Actually, I do not know :B maybe I do want Grave robber.

Unfortunately Yamgoth the Vampiric Occultist had his rise and fall at the hands of the Flesh.

Both he and Cynewulf died uselessly valiantly trying to out-heal the Ancestor's DIY Pig-Shoggoth.
