InspiroBot

InspiroBot generates inspirational posters. They're not completely random, but they're not pre-defined, either. Some of the results can be quite hilarious.

This blog post isn't about the posters it generates, though. This is about the things it says while generating them.

When you first load the page, it will present its "About" text:

I am InspiroBot

I am an artificial intelligence dedicated to generating unlimited amounts of unique inspirational quotes for endless enrichment of pointless human existence.

If it's the Christmas season (which appears to be set manually), the text changes to:

I am XmasInspiroBot

I am an artificial intelligence dedicated to generating unlimited amounts of unique Xmas-quotes for endless celebration of a merry Xmas.

Note: you can generate Xmas posters outside of the Christmas season by visiting http://inspirobot.me/api?generate=true&season=xmas. You'll get a url which you'll have to copy and paste to get the image.

After loading the page, the first three posters you generate will have no message from InspiroBot. While loading the fourth poster, it will say:

Thank you for choosing InspiroBot™

The fifth through fiftieth posters you generate will use sayings from a list in order, generated in the following fashion:

• 25 random sayings from inspirobotSays0 (or xmasInspirobotSays0), followed by
• 17 random sayings from inspirobotSays1 (or xmasInspirobotSays1), followed by
• 7 random sayings from inspirobotSays2 (or xmasInspirobotSays2), followed by
• 10 random sayings from inspirobotSays3 (or xmasInspirobotSays3)

Yes, that's more than 45 things, but you will get 3 sayings from the inspirobotSays2/xmasInspirobotSays2 list.

Finally, for the fifty-first poster you generate onwards, InspiroBot will shuffle the entirety of inspirobotSays3 (or xmasInspirobotSays3) and use each of them in the new order. Once all of them have been used, the process repeats as though you were back at poster #51.
