Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Demo · 6:51pm Jun 21st, 2017
So, I finally got around to playing the story demo of Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite that was released during E3 last week. Just sitting there waiting.
I'll give a few quick thoughts on the game. Especially after seeing so many reactions on YouTube and the like.
I'll just start with this. Graphics are not up to standard, yes, but the gameplay is phenomenal and the animations are good in motion. Gameplay is in my opinion a bigger priority over graphics.
The story is pretty alright and what I expected. I just wish character names weren't said so forced. Dante/Rocket may be my favorite interaction so far and I hope that other characters shine like those two. Same for Thor and Arthur.
Then there's the roster: another topic of controversy. Personally, I'm satisfied. Got X and Zero and Spidey is a shoe-in hopefully. Shame about the X-Men and Doom though (When people mention F4 they most likely mean Doom let's be honest).
Sorry to diverge into a small rant, but I really dislike it when people riff on this game for a 'copy-paste' roster with little diversity and newcomers and the. say Marvel vs Capcom 2 has the best. That game literally only had like 1 or 2 new characters from both franchises and the others were new OC's or recycled from past games! Not only that, but I swear 80 percent of the characters were X-Men and Street Fighter! So imo it's a little hypocritical and it just annoys me.
Need I remind you all of of the 'best' newcomer: Bone-Claw Wolverine, another X-Man? I'm sure people would whine if they put in Star-Lord and Star-Lord without his mask. Be glad they aren't doing that at least.
Sorry, had to get that off my chest. From reactions I've seen or heard, I expected a piece of crap as bad as Sonic '06 and Superman 64. It's actually pretty good and has potential to be better than UMvC3 gameplay wise.
Spiderman is in the game?
4579413 To be more accurate, I think his chances of coming back are rather high. Still skeptical about the leaked roster.
Oh okay.
