    I Live!

But I’m on a buttload of drugs and am going to pass out.

Surgery went great, even better than expected. I’ll elaborate more later.

    Until next time!

Good News, Bad News, and Whatever-You-Want-To-Consider-It News · 4:10am Jun 21st, 2017

Hey, Everyone!

I've been meaning to blog a bit sooner, but I haven't for reasons that will be unveiled in this post.

I'll start with the bad news first. In the process of trying to update my computer a number of weeks ago, something interrupted the update and my computer essentially bricked. When I went to get it diagnosed, it turned out that the hard drive was damaged. The computer was five years old, so I guess it was bound to happen soon anyway. Unfortunately, I was too stupid to back my computer up before I tried updating it (and my external drive was too small to back it up anyway, so I don't think it really would have mattered), so I lost a bunch of my images, documents, charts, and audio files, so I haven't been able to work on the readings or voice recordings I had planned to, which were already started. Fortunately, though, I sent my old computer to Drive Savers, and they said they recovered 80% of my files, so I'm hoping that the ones that matter were saved (because frankly, I probably don't need half of those files anymore). I'll have to see when I get the new external drive they're sending me with my files on it.

The upside to all this, though, is that most of the important stuff I've been working on lately I've been doing on Google Drive and a bunch of other online websites, so as soon as I signed into Google, FimFic, DeviantArt, and any other website under the sun that you can think of that I've signed up for, everything came back, including my Chrome bookmarks (thank GOD). That means I didn't lose any of DaD or my other projects that I was able to work on online.

The WYWTCI news—which honestly falls closer to bad, but also has an upside—is that I really haven't been able to work on DaD lately because I've been having a massive case of writer's block. However, Crystal Moose and I had a long chat about two days ago, and he basically wrote out the scene that I'd been stuck on (and he will be properly credited), so I now have a better idea of how to move forward.

Finally the good news, which really has nothing to do with ponies, but I'd like to share it anyway. It's the reason I delayed a bit before posting, because it literally just happened about an hour and a half ago.
I don't know how many of you may have seen this part of the post I made last time this happened, but I just came back from a Tae Kwon Do promotion, and I'm now officially a Red Belt!

(I asked someone to take pictures while I was sparring, but they all came out blurry, and then my phone died before I could get a picture of me with my new belt AND uniform on. Baaahhhhh.)

I'm friggin' exhausted right now, but it was amazingly worth it. I'm now only two more promotions away from getting my Black belt. It'll be a little while, but I've just gotta keep going and it'll happen eventually.

Alright, I'm about to pass out. Time to have a snack before I go to bed.

Until *yawn* next time, everyone.
