Okay, I've been dead for the last month or two and I'm sorry. My life sorta imploded spectacularly all at once, my job cut hours, I was delivered some really bad personal news, and my cat nearly died all within the span of a week. I've been trying to put my life back together and pay off everything that fell on me and I'm sorry I've never updated.

All of this did come up at the worst time right as the contest ended, but I am going to honor all of my debts.

Vows Made in Wine by MrNumbers easily took my first place with it's deep existential look at purpose and what happens when you lose it. As a creator it hit me hard in the best possible way and I really loved it.

Look On Down From the Bridge by FloydienSlip takes second with it's tear-jerking revelation that hits you all at once, and for satisfying the need to hang onto those who are gone. Wonderful symbolism and the best depiction of depression I've ever read.

The Third Name by AlicornPriest coincidentally takes third. Not heavy on symbolism or subtlety, it goes straight for the heart. Feeling loss over someone you don't remember of that you may have never even known is relatable, and I feel it captured the feeling well but fell short when it came to the other entries. A solid third to be sure.

So yeah, Saturdy June 24th I will be delivering the rewards to the winners. I will be contacting them all before then and I will get back to updating my stories.
