It's weird, being in a house with a for sale sign on its lawn. I feel like I'm being watched by the neighbors across the street, which is even creepier considering the ones across the street are all families with school-age children and dogs that constantly yip and bork.
On a whim, I've started playing Golden Sun 2 again with a linked game and new game plus. I've put in ten hours and have already acquired two of the three trident prongs I need. Plus the only battle that's given me a modicum of a challenge has been the Gaia Rock boss, but I blame that on using the Tomegathericon on Sheba instead of just her natural class.
My tooth problems have gotten slightly better over time, but I've still managed to get my hands on a cheap prescription to heal some of the major damage. Next week I go in for another consultation, with hopefully a surgery to follow. At least now I know it's two wisdom teeth giving me hell and not just one. Waitthatisabadthing...
I also got my hands on an Amazon Echo Dot. Little did I know that much of its functionality relies on 'smart' homes and having subscriptions to other Amazon services, so I mostly use it for alarms, playing my downloaded tunes, and running trivia games.
Oh, in slightly more relevant news, I did get a proper response from EQD on my Locals submission. It was rejected, but I actually got some real feedback. The pre-reader who took it gave some great insight and syntax checking for me to try again later on. I'm on the fence if I should update it now and re-submit, or finish the story first. Then again, it's the kind of story that may not finish at all, since it's all about short stories told from the locals themselves. Anyway, it's good news all around, and I might go back to it soon.
Speaking of going back to things, I've also been feeling like I want to re-read one of my first fanfictions, also based on Golden Sun. It's weird because I know exactly how disappointed I'll be if I do, but I still want to visit it nonetheless.
Huh. You know what? I'm gonna go do that. I only have an hour until work begins after all, and it's not like I'm liable to get any writing done with the move hanging over my head. By the way, have I mentioned how much I hate the fact that this will be my fourth move in four years?
