I hate doing this.
As you can see, ER251 is on hiatus for now, and I hate myself for doing that. Perhaps I've just been in denial for too long about it, and should have switched it earlier when I announced that no chapters will be added until I have a sufficient stockpile that I can manage regular updates. The truth is after a good discussion with Autumnschild today, I don't know when the story will be updated again.
The entire action depresses me. I absolutely love this story and this universe. It's a lot of fun to have created. I can only blame myself for this action. I'm eternally grateful to Autumnschild for letting me do this with the Birthdayverse. Never had either of us expected such a warm and fun reception to our stories. I'm not saying good bye, but it feels like it. It feels like I'm giving up, which I'm not. I don't want to, I can't.
My focus is going to switch to a couple of other story ideas that I've had painfully knocking about in my head for the time being and hopefully soon, we'll be able to return to ER251. I'll do a blog post later about them, and request some editors and/or pre-readers to assist.
I am sorry for disappointing you all. Here's to the Birthdayverse, may it make a triumphant return.
