Im dead, Jim. · 6:31am Jun 14th, 2017

My dads name is Jim, so thats akward.

Well, it's true. I pretty much only come here to check stories I love, and occasionally binge read new stories. Yeah, lets just say back in fall 2015 I made it into my local college, and since then I've only had winter break and this summer off.

A lots changed in my life, and while a lot of my older content had been what I'll call mediocre, I've shifted to new tastes. MLP only takes a small chunk of those new tastes; understandably at that. I'm twenty now, and when I joined this site back in 2013 I was only 16.

I'm not saying that the stuff I use to love is lesser or anything like that, just that my priorities have changed, and thusly thats affected my personal likes and dislikes. I've still got a love for the show, though truth be told I almost always had more of a taste for the fandom than the show.

Now my time is spent in a few different ways: college work, which includes core classes and art classes (I'm actually not that bad at drawing anymore!), applying to four years school for a game design bachelors, and even maybe masters if the school I end up at offers it. Also looking for and applying for scholarships cause me and my family are poor.

Chores/jobs around the house/ taking care of my chickens. Yup, doesn't seem like a lot but I've spent the last week and a half replacing the subflooring around half my house, I have an acre or so worth of land to mow every few days to keep pest/ticks away, and I'm pretty much in charge of the rest of the houses chores, despite the fact that my parents are both capable enough to do them.

And relaxing after doing those things.

My relax periods could be spent writing fanfictions, but I tend to spend them fleshing out game projects I want to complete in my career.

So all in all, I tend to be busy, and while I love creating stories, worlds, and characters, writing spends more time as a tool of design than actual writing.

I have plenty of old ideas for both my fics, but I want to have someone, if anyone, who'd be committed to talking with me, and completing those tales. Oh come on, was going to be rather long, with the current setup turning to a flashback that more or less solidly starts the characters stories and somewhat parallels the original team Gurrens story.

Then it would delve into ideas of indoctrination of our current cast, war, and even the death of thousands, leading back into the current times where prepartion is taken for a final fight against someone who was forced by anothers machinations to become the ultimate enemy of life; the Anti-Spiral. Then I had two other arks, one similar too the spiral maze, and the last one the true enemies unmasking and fall.

I more or less wanted to tell a different story with an at the time extremely popular set up that usually went the easy route, in my own way.

One can't be themself when they're someone else. One becomes someone else when they 'are' someone else.

And Kyles story was going to mostly be just a short couple of chapters about someone who ended up needing a ride and then changed into an idea about some of the cast going on an adventure that would make them question not only everything they knew, but also whether home was Equestria, or where the heart, and consequently, your towl was.

Also the universes biggest booze run for the biggest party ever.

Alas, if either of them ever see completion, it probably won't be until I find someone willing to do the writing, I find a better means (I'm considering using a text to speech program for the majority of the writing so that I could work while I was driving to and from school. If you know of one for android cellphones that doesnt have a timer attached, please recommend), or I decide I can afford the time and effort.

All of those pretty much mean that I could start work back up relatively soon, or it could mean that it might be years if at all before they get worked on.

Who knows? I don't.

If you're actually interested about working with me, just message me here and I'll share my discord info so we can work on a more accessible space.

Other thoughts? I'm prepping to leave out for another school by spring semester in 18, so that might aid story production, as I'll be living on campus pretty much no matter what. We'll see I suppose.

I'm whatever you wanna lable a Zootopia fan. So I'm interested in any good crossover s that are either updated regularly or are already complete.

Yeah, thats about it.

Thanks for tuning in, and hell, maybe those 30ish people who follow me might end up being the one to help me finish my tales.

Oh, and I may actually have something in the works as a possible fic for the site, or at the very least, an idea for a future game based on something originally designed for here.

If it goes through either way and this site is still around by then ( I pray it is, as this is both an archive for brony history, but also more personally, an archive of the last few years of my childhood.), I'll post something about it.

If you read this through, thanks, I appreciate it.

For now, farethy well,
Derek
