    Remember Obscure Spike Shippings?

Remember when obscure Spike shippings that were met with middling reviews and a lot of confused interest popped out of this account like every few months?

    Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Remember Spike stories that felt like they could have an entire pop-punk album written based on them?

Author Spotlight #1 - Seventh Heaven · 2:33am Jun 14th, 2017

Howdy!

So, starting tonight, I plan on introducing a new blog series entitled "Author Spotlight". The purpose of this series will be to highlight the works of authors I find to be good.

Why am I doing this?

Well, it's obvious I don't have as much time to write as I used to, not counting this past week of course, so I wanna be able to use the time I have to put a shine on authors that I think need recognition. There's no particular criteria (follower count, stories, etc.), just that I have to enjoy the work they spit out.

Anywho, I find it fitting that the first author I feature on here would be my boy, Seventh Heaven, considering all the work he's done with helping me recently.

So, without further ado, check out the first episode of "Author Spotlight"!

Seventh Heaven is one of the most entertaining authors I've ever read. With stories that fall under almost every genre tag known to Fimfiction, it's not hard to see why.

He hits on every emotion across the spectrum.

Seven is definitely a bit on the more... prolific side. He writes about anything and everything, but does it with pizzazz, detail and incredible talent. His work, in my opinion, definitely is worth checking out.

Let's take a look at a couple of his most notable works and why I find them awesome.

This story was a dramatic Slice of Life about the familial bond between Cloudchaser and Flitter, two ponies that get next to no love in my opinion.

In this story, he takes a headfirst approach into the difficulties of saying goodbye but knowing the importance of letting one do what's best for them. The writing, although not perfect, is very smooth and crisp. The emotions flow freely and you can really feel what's going on inside the characters heads. That's a rare trait to have as an author, but he's got that on lock.

A crossover. A crossover that's good. I never thought those words would be uttered from my mouth, but I uttered them.

Obviously, it's a Danny Phantom/MLP Crossover, but it is amazing. Funny, fresh, and full of surprises, it never disappoints and leaves you with a smile on your face through every chapter. Again, it's not perfect, but considering the source material, it is fantastically written and the execution is beautiful.

This is, hands down, one of the most thoughtful pieces of fiction I've read on the site. Discord and Starlight pair up to have a conversation for the ages and it really made me think.

It has humor, emotion, intelligence and a touch of despair all rolled into a one-shot, yet it never feels like anything is forced. Everything blends together naturally and seamlessly, leading to a reading experience you'll not soon forget.

So, those are three of his stories I'd strongly recommend. It's also worth noting that he has some very popular Mature stories that I couldn't link here. However, if you were to explore his account and were interested in that sort of thing, I'm sure you'd find stories of interest.

All in all, the guy is not only of my best friends, but he's a fantastic author and has helped me refine my craft over the years I've known him. Definitely check out his work if you haven't.

Well, that's all for now. Love you guys, and have a great night!

Love,
Famous

Actually, I really wanted to do this for awhile. I'm just now, of course, getting around to it, months later.

Time to check out that romance section~

Someday I'll be on here. Just you wait.

...Just give me a bit to write something.
