I know I'm new here and I might sound like I'm just rambling and spilling out nonsense, so I just want to get this out of the way. Hi, I'm Jacob Smith, aka Jake De Poni.
About Myself: I'm a graduated student of WNC (Western Nevada College). My major involves computer graphics, an AAS degree. I do have a YouTube channel, but it was for one of my classes and I do plan on doing other stuff besides random animation crap (YT channel name is the same here). I like to draw and design while telling stories.
How did I become a brony: It's kind of a funny story actually. I was familiar with the original MLP franchise back in the 80's and 90's and I knew that it was meant to target little girls for their parents to buy the toys (even though it's still the case today). When Friendship is Magic came out, I had no idea it existed until I saw a couple of video clips and found out that there was a fan-base (I admit I found them funny back then). I wont lie, I was a little creeped out at first when I heard there were MALE fans in the community and I just brushed it off thinking "Meh, if they like it, then I wont judge." Then after searching randomly through the internet and been seeing ponies everywhere either in videos, images, and of course fanfiction, that's when I said "Okay, that's it. What's so great about it?" So after watching episode after episode seeing improvement for four years until the episode Pinkie Pride came out featuring Weird Al Yankovic, that's when I officially accepted myself being a brony since I'm a fan of Weird Al. If you got any questions about my opinions on some episodes or fan projects or memes or whatever, then please ask away.
My Stories: OK, here's what you're probably been waiting for, "What ideas does this guy have?" I do have some ideas I'm already working on and here are some I like to share.
The Boogeyman-Don't judge the title and assume that it's a Grimdark, because even though that it may be the case, I was going for the 'Kid Friendly' horror story like Goosebumps and some Disney movies that have some horror vibe and yet not too scary for children (if that makes sense). This story is about the legendary monster that we all are too familiar in our childhood. A monster that we are always scared of. The Boogeyman has returned from his absence and it's up to the mane 6 to solve the mystery of the monster, save the missing children, and stop whatever plan he's making. Meanwhile, Discord makes a new friend; a goblin like creature named Loki who loves chaos magic as much as Discord. Can he be trusted? So why does he look like he was trying to push the mane 6 away. At least that's all I can say to keep it brief.
Flash Review-At least something like that. I want to do a project that involves Flash Sentry and I think I can speak for everyone that Flash needs more character development. After watching my favorite YouTube channel 'That One Video Game' with the show called the Completionist, I thought I could do something like that with Flash as both a completionist and a gamer. I'd like to hear your opinions about it. It's meant to be fun and entertaining about a fictional character playing real life games and he tells his experience with them (and by his, I mean 'MINE'). The first episode I'm working on is the classic SNES game called Donkey Kong Country. If you want, you can make some fanart for each episode like how the Compleationist does after every intro and on each thumbnail. I look forward to you guys reply on the idea.
The Angry Pony-Now this is what I'm looking forward to doing. First off, this is NOT for children. It's more an adult comedy with a very pissed off pony that makes rants, complain on how stupid everypony is, and misadventures. Be warned that there will be very strong language, suggestive/sexual dialogue, and extreme violence. Very extreme. It's not meant to offend people but to be more enlightening and entertaining by making fun of the original characters (whether canon or an OC), the show itself and it's plot, Hasbro and their business skills, and the brony community.
I do have more but I think I've said enough. This post just took days for me to finish on what I want to say and share, so I think I took enough of your time. And like Dr Wolf would say "I would like to hear your thoughts from each of you." I hope you like my ideas of story telling and something fun for everyone.
