"A Love for Music" Update (2-June-2017) | WEEKLY UPDATE · 1:47pm Jun 2nd, 2017
Hey guys!
What's up? This is Silver Chord of The Adventure Crew with a Weekly Update. (Yeah, y'all thought I would forget again, didn't ya?) This update focuses more on one story, and that would be A Love for Music.
First off, I did update the story on Monday, just like I promised last Thursday. I looked over everything and made sure it was perfect, then I hit that magical Publish button. I thought everything was there when I had published it, but it turns out that I was wrong. A user by the name of Ti_Deltas made a comment on the story three days ago. I was happy to see that there was a positive response. However, what he said had confused me upon first glance:
Oh man, nice update! Hope we don't have to wait too long for the next part?
That was kinda confusing, because I was very sure that Part 2 completed and ended the story. So, I took a look back at the chapter to see what he (or she) might have been talking about, and it turns out that the chapter was incomplete. Made no damn sense whatsoever, so I looked at the GDoc that I had imported, only to find out that it was also incomplete. That irked me quite a bit, because I'm very sure that I had finished the fucking chapter. So, I took another journey onto my computer to take a look at the Microsoft Word Document in which the file originated. That one was finished. So I suppose something happened on the way through the conversion process.
So, it's been three days, and I still haven't figured out the problem. I've tried almost everything I could do, and that doesn't include contacting an admin or a mod; that'll be my last resort. I'll give the issue another day, and if I can't get the chapter to come up as fully-completed, then I will contact an admin. But before I do, has anyone else been having this problem with uploading a document to GDoc then FiMFic?
Well, thanks for taking a look at the first of many other Weekly Updates. I think the schedule of these being posted might change to another day, although I might just stick to Friday since it's at the end of the week for me. Tell me what you guys think in the comments.
