Story Idea, Free to a Good Mind · 7:08pm May 26th, 2017
Came up with this idea last night during a Damien Darkside Twitch stream. (You should totally follow him on Twitch as well.)
The idea is thus: In the Equestria Girls universe, Sci-Twi invents the fidget spinner. She creates it specifically to help Pinkie Pie concentrate during school/tests/etc. Like in real life, the little 'toy' blows up in popularity, with everyone at Canterlot High wanting one of their own. (This could include specialized version for certain characters or whatever you would want to do.) This, in turn, makes Sci-Twi arguably the most popular person at the school, as she hand-makes all of them, and thus one could only get their own fidget spinner through her. In the end, the fad eventually dies out. But Pinkie continues to use hers, even as it becomes passe, due to the fact that it does help her.
Would be just a simple, multi-chapter SoL. And there are probably many different directions this could go between the initial invention and the final chapter. But, as I said, this story idea is free for anyone to use. I would only ask that you credit me with the idea, and that you send me the story link if/when you decide to write it.
