Went over all my fics with a slightly better of understanding of English style and punctuation (thanks to Strunk and White, as well as Grammarly chrome add-in) and fixed a bunch of errors.
Hopefully, now native English speakers will be able to read the "Dazzling Illusions" without bleeding from their eyes.
heh, me and a few other writers were talking about this story just a few days ago. One of the few and best TrixDagio's ships out there.
No, seriously, there is this story, and one other that has not been updated in a long time. Quite irritating to me since they seem like an amusing pairing.
Also the only one that has been completed. I didn't have much issue with the punctuation or word issues before, but always good to see a good story get a clean up.

To be fair, although you admitted to damning the story with faint praise, due to a lack of competition, I think it is good enough that it would probably rank up there even were their more Adagio/Trixie bits. It's certainly memorable in a way many stories aren't.

Spitefully twisting my words? I would have never expected such a thing from you.
But, seriously, it is a very good story. I don't often think of pairing competition as opposed to genre competition, but even if there were more, this one would undoubtedly be unique. It's a 'bad end' for the Rainbooms, but a good end for Trixie and an end you as the reader are looking for. It's evil winning, but at the same time you really, really want Trixie to win and get the girl. To beat the odds, despite knowing what that would mean for Canterlot High. You don't get that alot, at least without it turning into a dark story and while this has some dark elements, it doesn't go anywhere near horror.

I agree. It does a good job conveying Trixie's emotional intensity and making you feel it, leaving you wanting her to win even as part of you realizes you should dread it.
It's really too bad it doesn't have more exposure. Perhaps the revisions will help.
