Season 7 - Episode 10 - A royal problem (SPOILER) · 7:24pm May 20th, 2017

I'm not a guy that updates his blog regularly, but after watching the latest episode of MLP:FIM (thank you Canada and thank you Youtube ) I felt the need to do it. All I can say is: great job, Hasbro! This episode was simply awesome!

"Yes! Your praises please us, miserable mortal!"

Like many other fans, I was eager to see an episode focused on the Royal Sisters and that finally gave them some personality beyond that image of regal perfection we've seen so far (well, if we exclude their brief scene during that display of glorious insanity that was episode 100). It was also interesting to see them interact in their daily live and how they see their respective duties, something that I know was already shown in one of the official comics, although I never read the story.
I also love how that they acknowledged the fact that Celestia has the potential to succumb to her dark side like her sister did, which to be honest while awesome was also quite disturbing... but mostly awesome

Starlight... she actually did a nice job. I'll be honest, she's never going to be my favorite character and there are still moments when I'd just want to hit her in the head with a rolled newspaper, but I have to admit that she has greatly improved as a character since her reformation (remember kids: the best and faster way to reform a petty villain is with a musical montage) and I think that giving her the task of solving the issue between Celestia and Luna rather than one of the Mane6 was the perfect choice, considering her personality and the fact that she doesn't have a deep connection with the sisters like the main characters.

All in all, I think that along with A flurry of emotions this was one of the best episodes so far, not only of this season, but of the entire series.
