That's a lot! Like a heap!
And I have nothing. I have no updates, no news, no goddamn anything. And that's a problem! I should have news, and updates. I've got one or two things I'm intending to work on, but I haven't actually done that. Most of my time has been spent working for Someone's PC doing those stories.
Something about writing on a timeline is quite... fun, I guess. It's challenging. But it also sucks up all my creative juices.
I'm not even that interested in writing the more adult-orientated things for the fandom any more because, sometime in the last two years, the fandom chose, in unison, that they all want to fornicate with barnyard animals and all artwork and stories should reflect their newfound predilection for 'anatomical correctness'. Because pastel-coloured magical cartoon equines should reflect real equines in every way possible.
Definitely going to have less than 5000 followers after that last paragraph 
I know some people do some special thing for their milestones. And 5000 is my last milestone for a very, very long time. Especially given a content output comparable to the dwindling instance of unreformed 'villains' in the show. Seriously, what the 
did they do to my changelings?!
That being said, no, my 5000th watcher isn't getting something special. Fuck that. Who thought that was a good idea? Why reward someone who was here the most recently? If anyone was to get anything, it would be old mate JVL. He was my very first watcher, when I joined this place and posted my dreck all the way back at the start of 2012.
Also I'm totally intimidated by what I have to do to get Affliction to the end of this story arc... there's a lot to happen and a lot of finesse involved to not have people immediately throw their hooveshands up and say 'this fucking guy' and throw a much-deserved 'Mary Sue' title on certain ones of my characters.
So in short, thanks for 5000 of you guys following me! Thanks for sticking in there while my output has wilted, and thanks if you're still around. No, I'm not doing anything special for 5000 followers. I'm not going to shit out something sub-par just because a counter on my page increased to an arbitrary number (not in the least because people will say 'holy shit this guy' and unfollow me because I made an update that is not content 
).
If I'm flinging content at you, it's going to be because I want it done. Or I'm getting paid for it, because let's face it! I'm currently mostly crippled and in physiotherapy to try and fix my wrist (again) and I'm trying to save up for a new procrastination machine!
Keep being awesome, all of you.
Sometime, i read and re-read what you've done. And its still that much cool for me, so whatever people say. No need to force you writing if your mind and heart isn't into it for a time.
+1 For the timeline part, i guess i'm not the only one that can understand how "killing-creativity" deadlines can be. If that is what you were meaning, of course.

I'm 3 shy of my own milestone of 100. I know how you feel and am worried about not having anything ready for when it happens.
But this only means that you will get to be stressed and anxious about lack of content when you hit the 5000 AGAIN in some time. :D Isn't that fantastic? Rejoice!

I did that once before with my name on furry sites, and I feel like I lost touch with a lot of people who just looked up my previous name, and didn't have an account or anything to track it by.
I don't want someone to be sitting around in future going 'god, I really want to read that one story by Anonymous Pegasus, where he at these days?' and they google me or whatever and boom, I'm not there any more.

I mean, I used to troll a fair amount! I don't know if you ever saw the Affliction 3.0 thing I put out, where I was 'crowdfunding' it. The crowdfunding link was literally just a link to the story, while it sat in the queue waiting to be uploaded for realsies! It was kind of my social protest against the kind of things writers and artists do in the fandoms I'm part of where they'll whore out a single picture or a story or something and expect people to 'crowdfund' this idea they already had and partway finished. I mean, I get patreon and whatnot, and I had one going for a fair while until I joined Someone's PC, at which point I killed off my patreon because I am not gonna double dip like that.
I just never saw this as a way to earn money, or a way to get popular. Or to lord over people or shit. This has always been me writing something I feel like writing, and being encouraged by the comments, and being driven to write more by the people who read and leave comments.
Why would I ever jeopardize that by being an asshole for 'the lulz'?
I've matured a lot since then and respect my fanbase far too much to do some dumb shit that potentially disrupts you guys for a lame one-off joke.

yeahh, most of that art is not very appealing to me. I mean, every fandom does porn, but making it correct is very unappealing to me. However, I also believe that most people seeing a real talking pony, and not a cartoon one, would not want to screw it. Looking up more realistic furry costumes hits home just how alien looking crossover species would look.
I liked a story that made it that those 'areas' were actually hidden away until a pony willed them to be seen. Might be odd, but with so much magic in the mlp world, a attempt at the reason why those parts aren't seen is fair to me.
Rambling though, grats on 5k followers and I hope you find the urge to write again at some point. If not, well, hey, you've made a ton of work already so I understand.

I know, those poor New Changelings! I just hope that we don't see much more of them in the show, and that authors continue to write quality Changeling Classic stories. I mean, if there are good fanfics that use the New Changelings, then that's cool too. It's just that New Changelings themselves are uncool. Or something.
But also, oh hey, you're not dead! Congrats! It's always nice when one of the old guard returns to at least say hello.
Re- I was not intenting for you actually change name on a permanent basis, and I totally understand what you mean by name recognition (I follow you on FanF as well, and you having a different name to here meant I spent about two months looking for P2 of Affliction over there)
I just remember a year or two ago you joked that if you hit a certain milestone you would change to celeb. It's a non-issue.
To be fair, equine genitalia looks fantastic. And it's extremely unfair that humanity got stuck with the subpar naughty bits.
Disclaimer: actual horses are nasty, dirty beasts and I wouldn't pork even if I had the chance. A classic case of fantasy vs reality.
PS: I've actually noticed a lot more anthro and human-like genitalia stories lately, with only a slight increase in anatomically correct. Which is a damn shame considering I started the first (and perhaps only, last time I checked) anatomically correct group. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side, eh?

That's your opinion and is definitely one I do not share. I find it about as appealing as a toad that just lost a game of chicken with a mac truck. Far from tickling my fancy, it tickles my upchuck reflex. And when it now covers more than three-quarters of all artwork and stories related to the show that aren't anthro, it makes it incredibly difficult for me to give even a passing fuck about the adult portion of this fandom any more seeing as I have to fight past stuff that is the opposite of arousing to me to get anything that I find even mildly attractive.
I mean, sweet Celestia 'we' only have like two really good artists left that don't draw 'anatomically correct'. And that's Pudgemuffin and Hioshiru.
That's it.
I don't know where you're noticing any kind of increase in 'human-like' stories, either. Because I can count on one hand the number of times I've read a story in the past year where doing a page search for 'winking' didn't return an immediately result and just as quickly get the page closed.
And if you want a real look at the disparity, compare the tags for 'anatomically correct' on derpibooru with the 'human bits' one.
Yeah, it's nine hundred, to nine thousand. Ten times as many 'anatomically correct' and a vast degree of the human ones were done during the early days of the fandom, before 'anatomical correctness' took over. I was already picky with my adult-oriented stuff, And with the way the fandom has been trending the last two years, my ability to enjoy it has been non-existent.
I just don't much feel like writing content I can't even find in the wild any more.

I've been following you for a while, ever since I read the first Ingress. I didn't even find it here, I found it on another site oddly enough. I love your stories, and I miss seeing them update. But, on the other hand, I'd rather you update them because you wanted to and not because you felt you had to crank out chapters because people want them. I hope you reach a place where you can/want to update your stories, but if not, it's been a fun ride. :)
