When I first heard about this episode, I was excited to see what possibilities were in store for Fluttershy. Her dream of opening an animal sanctuary; surely this will be a highlight for season 7, right?
Eh… no, not really. I had a lot of conflicting feelings with this episode. One the one hand, Fluttershy’s assertiveness was interesting to watch, yet it was not very satisfying when there is a non existent compromise between her and the experts working for her.
Speaking of, the experts didn’t leave any lasting impression on me whatsoever. Also the fact that they went behind Fluttershy’s back didn’t help either.
The message, while good, doesn’t quite support this episode in the long run. Especially since Fluttershy did not have to make any sort of sacrifice to fulfill her dream; she gets exactly what she wants.
Overall, this episode felt mediocre and didn’t have much of an impact as I thought it would.
