    Her Sentence as a Pony

I went with the executive decision to just finish Book One of Her Sentence as a Pony and start on Book Two. Book Two will be my main focus going forward. Book Two will have some chapters that flashback to a time where Shade, Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna fought side by side during key times, e.g. Discord's first defeat and Sombra's first defeat.

Her Sentence as a Pony rewrite

I’m planning to rewrite Her Sentence as a Pony because it has gone completely off what I planned.

    Or

Should I just finish what I have thought of for it and write an new story as an alternate to HSaaP?

    Not a Junkyard (Story Idea)

Another day, another bit—hopefully more than a bit’s wage. If your boss had their way they would pay you a bit a day. Lousy cheapskate. You work on your hooves all day, smile at all the rude ponies, and manage to keep your growing anger in check. The same thing keeps popping into your mind everyday at work: “Is it worth it?” Unfortunately, how today’s society revolves around capitalism, one must

    Hello...

Sorry for the unannounced hiatus. I have just been swamped with work and life. I plan on writing and updating at irregular intervals as work and life are a priority.

I haven’t even had time to game much! I am slowly becoming a normie!

    Halp!

Knocking at the door makes Shade lower her book. The light of the fireplace illuminates the grandfather clock on the wall to the right of Shade. Her white brows knit together. She sets the leather bound book on the table next to her favorite chair and pushes herself up to begin the journey to the front door.

The knocking had been loud so that rules out Fluttershy, Rarity, Muffins, and Twilight. The latter two do not even use the front door. She leaves her study and walks to the winding stairs that open up to a vast foyer. Her hand slides down the handrail of the stairs as she descends and marvels at the crystal chandelier hanging from the vaulted ceiling.

Since the knocker had not knocked again, the person waiting for her must know her. Couriers and visitors tend to keep knocking until she speaks up. She reaches the wide mahogany door, grips the brass knob with one hand, and starts unlocking the four locks to the door.

When she pushes the door open, a familiar woman stands before her in a weathered leather coat and muddy boots staring at the door mat. Pinkamena picks up her head and smiles at Shade. The fresh scent of blood permeates off the pink haired woman.

"Greetings, Diane," Shade says.

Pinkamena titters, "Hello, Shadey-wadey!"

Shade opens the door and stands out of the doorway, "Come in," she welcomes her friend.

"Thank you," Pinkamena curtsies and enters the warm house.

Shade scans the surrounding woods and finds nothing out of the ordinary. She closes the door behind her and locks the door. When she turns around she meets Pinkamena's wild gaze.

"May I take your coat?" Shade offers.

"No. I won't take too much of your time, Shadey-wadey," Pinkamena smiles and begins walking to the kitchen.

Shade groans inwardly at the tracks of mud she leaves in her wake. Shade enters the kitchen and turns on the light. Pinkamena is already seated at the circular teak table. She sits beside her friend.

"Do you know why I'm here?"

"Because you miss me?" Shade smiles.

"Pinkamena smiles. A long silence fills the air. "I'm here on behalf of the Association of Hunters to extend to you another invitation into the guild. We could use your help with the war against the Demons and monsters."

Shade frowns. "I have already contributed plenty to the 'war'. I closed the Hell Gates and the Fiery Portal. Then the government labels me a traitor when I do not join the guild."

Pinkamena sighs. She runs her hand through her hair. "More cities fall to Demons, Titans, and monsters every day. We could use your expertise."

"I told them the way to end it all. But it was too 'expensive' in their books. That is the only help I will offer," Shade firmly states.

"Could you at least help me out?" Pinkamena inquires, leaning closer to Shade and placing her hands on Shade's.

"With?" is Shade's stiff reply.

"A monster has made this area its home. My party was wiped out by the monster on our way here. It chased after me yet stopped when I crossed past your fence."

"Smart monster," Shade comments.

Pinkamena searches Shade's pale yellow eyes for answers, "Why is that?"

Shade pulls out her hand from under Pinkamena's. "I'm the one that sliced off its tail and half its face," Shade answers.

"A lot of monster reports originate from here. How come? A lot of Hunters never return from jobs here. Why?"

"The sooner you leave, the sooner you can be the first," Shade replies icily.

Pinkamena giggles, "Ooo! How you send shivers down my spine!" Pinkamena stands up and straightens her coat, "You'll keep your guard dogs in check?"

"You'll keep your Hunters off my land?"

"No can do. I'm not in charge yet."

Shade leans back in the chair and folds her arms across her chest, "Ditto."

Pinkamena grins, "I see."

Shade stands up and extends her arm to the back door, "I can escort you out of the woods safely."

Pinkamena hooks her arms around Shade's other arm, "Please do!"

one too many quote marks.
demons and titans shouldn't need capitals, nor hunters on it's own further down.
Poor Pinkie being chased by a monster half off it's face and without a tale tail to tell.:derpytongue2:
